Athletics WA World Championships 2023

World Athletics is doing a pathetic job, the website is down every evening, obviously they can't handle the traffic.

Ya, if we are going to essentially do away with the jump-off then the countback should revert back to the old rule where ties were less common.

The situation stinks because effectively the less competitive or fit athlete is biackmailing the more competitive or fit athlete into complying because they don’t want to be the bad guy.

Šutej has to be one of the most unluckiest athletes out there. 2nd time in 4th place in worlds.

Not quite the level of Silke Spiegelburg or Christopher Linke yet, but maybe she'll get there.

Ya but even if you are the more competitive athlete... what is the downside, really? Especially at the Olympics where you don't have to share prize money.

Even if the odds for the jump-off are *really* loopsided, you take a 100% chance to win a shared gold over a 75% chance to win a solo gold any day.
