avlar 372 Posted September 12, 2024 #1162 Share Posted September 12, 2024 I think that Coe is the best of possible candidarures. Top-3 favourites right now are Seb Coe, Samaranch Jr. and Kirsty Coventry. Seb Coe and Samaranch Jr. are expected to be ruled out by the IOC ethic committee (Jr. - is too old). Thus Coventry may have a freeride. And it looks like her candidature was a Plan-B from Bach. And ideal combination to show geogrphic diversity and gender equality. And to keep real power in Bach`s hands. NearPup 3,254 Posted September 12, 2024 #1163 Share Posted September 12, 2024 Coventry does tick a lot of boxes: first African (I mean, she is white but still), first woman and, most importantly, 100% a Bach loyalist.
