Canoe, golf, field hockey, karate, modern pentathlon, shooting, sport climbing, surfing, tennis and weightlifting have essentially been dropped from the 2026 Youth Olympic program.

Probably will be a disaster, imho. They chose a country with absolutely no experience. The other three have the experience.

Botswana hosted African Youth Games, making them infinently more experienced than Senegal. :p

One can probably expect organizational problems as is sadly the case again and again and again and again with major events in Africa, but at least we'll know the atmosphere is gonna be awesome :d
