Most likely it was blood spot detected by a jury. Usually that just means the horse bit its tongue.

Am I right that you can also be eliminated if the horse jumps out of the arena during the test?

Correct. Or if the rider goes of the test pattern twice.

Mendoza topped the individual table today, just ahead of Oliva and Tubman. It will be a very interesting battle for the individual medals (and individual quotas).
