This game highlights next year’s VNL problem. A match between a team that after 2-1 has nothing to play for than perhaps pride, and is inevitably a little less motivated, and a team that has to get as much points as possible. A Dutch victory in the 5th set could be very important, points wise.

Exactly. This qualification system is a mess. And the match schedule and order of matches will determine which country wins the last Olympic ticket.

Brazil was 22-24 down in 3rd set vs , but they came back and won it 27-25

 

now they lead 2 sets to 1

 

for  it would be better if  win this game

Brazil played its best game today. It was a difficult year, but we won the quota.

Except for that terrible 4th set. But I also really liked what I saw today.

We really could do with a powerful opposite, like Sloetjens used to be. Plak makes some miraculous points, but is not in the same league with the top opposites, like Boskovic or Martinez who always deliver when their teams needs them. Dambrink is still young, but I don’t think she’s the answer.

22 points between and not impossible. Unless they completely collapse I don't see dropping low enough to be in danger of failing to qualify to the Olympics.
