so, the Olympic Rifle and Pistol events are over

:CHN won 6 out of 10, meanwhile :AUT:GER:IND and :SWE won 1 gold medal each

Good thing we have shotgun to make it appear China doesn't completely dominate the sport.

Olympic Quota Places (to the NOCs, NOT to the shooters): :CHN:JPN:UKR:EST

I thought only those who advance to the final can win the quota this time for this Olympic cycle. did they change something ?? or I just remember something completely wrong ? :d

oh OK, so my memory isn't that bad after all :d

so that means we won't have much re-allocation after all and only 1 (or 2) quota per event will be awarded based on the ranking . right ?

Unused host and tripartite quotas, and declined quotas will be reallocated via the rankings. Declined continental quotas will be kept within the continent if possible

Not a great championship to be honest. Really failed miserably in pistol events with no quotas. Rifle was good with 3/4 quotas. Anything less than 2 golds and 5 medals in Olympic events was always bad. It's good to have something like that now so that expectations will be less next year.

50m3P is our pet event now in both genders. One of the other big event is women's 10m Air Rifle where we won bronze courtesy Mehuli Ghosh and missing in quota due to 1 per nation rule, Tilottama Sen at 4th place, the 15 year old. Expecting both to make it to Paris next year through trials.

10m Air Rifle Women is the first event  at the games which will decide our shooting teams as well as entire country's Olympic performance.

Derrick Scott missed the vary last target which he could really regret as he's now tied with 9 other shooters in 2nd place with 99 , that will be a really interesting and intense final round , so only Khaled Al Mudhaf from Kuwait made the perfect score after 4 rounds with 100 in Men's Trap qualifications , he could be the 1st athlete from Kuwait to qualify to Paris 2024

What happened to Jessica Rossi in Trap??? :surprise::surprise::surprise:
After 75 targets she was perfect 75/75 in place 1 (place 2 already with 73/75).

And today she started with 19/25 and is currently out of the final (and even with another 25/25 it will need a lot of mistakes by the other to reach the final).

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
