So far, just another under performing US effort in a non Olympics event.

No problem since it's non Olympic. Who cares?

Well, really, it'll probably be Richard Funk anyway so as to allow for Masse and Ruck (probably).

I was thinking about the women's 4x100m medley.

Oh, yeah, for sure.  Idk why I forgot about that and jumped to the mixed relay.

Guilherme Guido :yes

We were very close of having all 8 qualifiers under 16:00 for the first time in the 1500 W, maybe it will happen in the final.

I think USA can still win it, but it will be close. USA still has gold medal chances in men's 50/100 fly, men's 500/100 free, men's 50/100/200 back, men's 200/400 IM, men's medley relay, men's 800 free relay, both mixed relays, women's 50/100/200/800/1500 free, women's 50/100/200 breast, women's 50/100/200 back, women's 200 fly, women's medley relay and women's 800 free relay. China still has gold medal chances in men's 200 free, men's 50/100/200 back, men's 200 IM and maybe women's 200 breast + women's 800 free relay. I would say USA ends up at 16 golds at best and then we will have to wait what China will do. Right now i would give China the edge, because i think that they could very well win 3 more golds on the men's side, but if it comes to a tie in gold medals, then the US will probably win.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

after all controversy in the men's 100m backstroke heats earlier tonight (CET), the semifinals will be swum by 18 swimmers (9 per heat) and not the usual 16...:yikes:

Why is swimming still so behind in terms of graphics? I mean, they always compare split times with the WR (or ER), even in heats, that's senseless generally. Why not compare with the fastest time until then? And why do they never show PB, SB, NR, AR etc in the result lists? In athletics you immediately know if someone broke a PB, in swimming there's no clue and you'd first have to go find their PB on swimrankings or Wiki if you're lucky enough they're there.
