As the qualification for the games are in full swing, felt this is the right time for predictions for your nation's medals, the top favourites and also your country's position on medal table.

the more the Olympics get closer, less and less medals, I expect from Italy! :yikes::facepalm::wall:

but Italy will sneak in to top 10 as usual.....always some Quintavalle or Basile appear :d

Honestly, I don't really know, and I don't really care. Rio 2016 was just too damn perfect for us. We won 10 freaking medals. Tokyo could be very successful for us again, but I'm pretty sure the tally of 10 medals just can't be repeated. Surely it can't.

Rio was as good as it gets, so it's time to pursue something new. I'm more interested to see whether we can qualify in some new sports.

hopefully...

but still, we have always less "expected" medal contenders and always more risky "outsiders"...

so, with a bit of luck we can still performas usual, but we just can't really expect it will happen for sure...

our motto should be: "living dangerously" or "living on the edge"...

:IND l expect around 5 medals.

#1 Badminton: Have won medals in London and Rio so expecting 1 inTokyo.

Contenders: Sindhu, Saina, Srikanth

#2 Boxing: We have a decent boxing squad. So expecting 1 in Tokyo. Amit panghal is the favorite but a couple of girls can also be contenders. Not sure about Mary mom at this point of time.

#3 Shooting: Will be expecting 2 medals. Saurabh is performing well. Manu bhaker is good. A mixed event could prove fruitful. We also have good talent in Women's 10m rifle. So expecting 2 might not be bad.

#4 Wrestling: India have a very decent squad. Bajrang punia is clear favorite for a medal. Couple others are also throwing their hat into the ring. We have had good luck with repechages. So expecting someone could also sneak a medal. Expecting 1 medal but will not surprised if more come out way.

India has some contenders who might get us a medal.

1. Neeraj Chopra(Javelin)

2. Mirabhai Chanu ( Weightlifting)

3. Recurve archery( Long shot)

4. Field hockey ( not a realistic one, first let us qualify)
