Monzanator 4,579 Posted June 10, 2023 #441 Share Posted June 10, 2023 Philippines are lucky Rodion Gataullin wasn't born some 20 years later but maybe he still wouldn't compete for Uzbekistan? Makedonas 2,170 Posted June 10, 2023 #443 Share Posted June 10, 2023 Polyniki Emmanouilidou (19 yo) ran 100m in 11.21 today Fastest 100m by a Greek woman since 2005! Her improvement each year has been very impressive (11.94 in 2019, 11.71 in 2020, 11.55 in 2021, 11.44 in 2022, now 11.21 in 2023 and it's only June). I think as long as she stays injury-free we will see her in Paris, and I think we also have a good chance to make it in the 4x100 relay. Werloc 3,171 Posted June 11, 2023 #444 Share Posted June 11, 2023 Gabija Galvydytė with 2:00.47 in the 800m and Beatričė Juškevičiūtė with 6117 in Heptathlon, really increased their chances to qualify to the World Championships. They need a similar result at the Lithuanian championships though, for those sweet sweet rating points. Makedonas 2,170 Posted June 11, 2023 #445 Share Posted June 11, 2023 (edited) Also 76.33m in the hammer throw for Konstantinos Zaltos to finish second at the NCAA Championships. He is number 3 on the Greek men's toplist for 2023 so far, which means we can have three male hammer throwers hopefully qualify for Paris 2024 Edited June 11, 2023 by Makedonas Link to comment https://totallympics.com/forums/topic/17498-athletics-2023-discussion-thread/page/45/#findComment-549986 Share on other sites
hckošice 15,027 Posted June 11, 2023 #446 Share Posted June 11, 2023 (edited) Quite unusual and crazy day in Slovak Athletics history happened today. 2 new NR in one event within 5 hours First at 13:00 Stanislava Škvarková beat her own NR in 100H in Trnava with clocking 12.89 and was already preparing for the European Games (Our federation criteria for the EG are easy: in each event the athlete with the best result achieved until this midnight will compete) and then 5 hours later in Hungarian Nyiregyhaza Viktória Forster set a new NR in this event 12.88 to grab up back the quota for herself 13:00 around 18:00 Edited June 11, 2023 by hckošice Link to comment https://totallympics.com/forums/topic/17498-athletics-2023-discussion-thread/page/45/#findComment-550070 Share on other sites

owenp_23 564 Posted June 12, 2023 #448 Share Posted June 12, 2023 Day 4 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships Jasmine Moore (Florida) sets collegiate record in the Womenʻs Triple Jump (14.78). Wind affects sprints and sprint hurdle records. Ackera Nugent (Arkansas) went 12.25 in 100m Hurdles, far better than the CR of 12.36. Julien Alfred (Texas) wins 100m in 10.72 and 200m in 21.73, both CRs if not for high wind. Rhasidat Adeleke (Texas) surprises 400m trio from Arkansas. Texas wins team title on home soil by 32 points.
