Sneak peek of the opening ceremony venue. Layout looks very similar to the Kinshasa 2023 Opening Ceremony in my opinion.

It is not as far as I know

 

per UWW's weird rules NOCs have to participate in continental Champs to be eligible for the continental qualifiers (with the same number of wrestlers) and there is an African Champs (for all age groups including seniors) listed in UWW website for few days later. I just checked their website and the event is still there. so unless they changed something which I doubt, African Games has nothing to do with the Olympics

Yes that's what I thought, but the website keep listing it as a qualification sport (https://www.accra2023ag.com/disciplines). All other sources are doing the same (but maybe they are copying the wrong information from the website). Thanks!

It's the same one used by Rabat 2019. It probably means no, or very limited, PDF results :(

So the qualifiers for the men’s table tennis quarterfinals from what I can tell are:

 

:NGR:EGY:EGY:EGY:EGY:CGO:NGR:EGY

 

in that case who would get the 4th quota given Egypt has already qualified a team?

      Malinin  opted for the 4-Axel in his Short Program, but faltered, landing him in 3rd thus far (and only 0.05 away from 4th!).  Surely he has the tools to rise back up in the Free Program.  (Also, perhaps this will serve to show him that he is in fact beatable.)

      I think they incorrectly translated Ukrainian word "nahorody" - it is not a full synonym of "medal". Its cocrrect translation is "award". Meanwhile russian tennis playes switched for Potapova ->  Rakhimova ->

      Ukrainian diver Lyskun switches allegiance to Russia, loses all medals | Olympics News | Al Jazeera   'loses all medals'   I would assume Al Jazeera could have been a bit clearer and mention this would presumably only be national medals. I mean, it's not like the Ukrainian federation, or any single federation for that matter, has the power to strip her of her world and European championships medals I hope (not for her sake, but because that would be a super weird precedent)

      Confirmation about the broadcasting rights.   If I'm reading it right, for most of Europe it will now be exclusive to Discovery/Eurosport or whatever brand they use.     For outside Europe, it's on YouTube.       Surely. Her first coach now works in russia (and grandma lives in russia according to Sereda). They were in contact and despite of full funding from  the girl decided to become the star of russian propaganda.  As I saw in X: "It took the Russians four years of war to find a relatively well-known sports personality to carry out such a propaganda operation."
