Olympian1010 7,479 Posted March 3 #21 Share Posted March 3 Sneak peek of the opening ceremony venue. Layout looks very similar to the Kinshasa 2023 Opening Ceremony in my opinion. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2098838800450031 Griff88 1 “Sport has the power to change the world. Sindo 1,227 Posted March 4 #22 Share Posted March 4 @MHSN How Wrestling is considered an Olympic qualification event here? Surely not a direct one, but why is it considered as indirect Qualification event? Thanks!

It is not as far as I know per UWW's weird rules NOCs have to participate in continental Champs to be eligible for the continental qualifiers (with the same number of wrestlers) and there is an African Champs (for all age groups including seniors) listed in UWW website for few days later. I just checked their website and the event is still there. so unless they changed something which I doubt, African Games has nothing to do with the Olympics Sindo

All other sources are doing the same (but maybe they are copying the wrong information from the website). Thanks! Edited March 4 by Sindo
JoshMartini007 2,214 Posted March 4 #26 Share Posted March 4 I think tennis is the only direct qualifier, the others just provide world ranking points or athletics/swimming marks. Sindo

Olympian1010 7,479 Posted March 4 #28 Share Posted March 4 Yeah, results system is up: https://results.accra2023ag.com/wrs/eng/zz/engzz_general-general-schedule.htm It's the same one used by Rabat 2019. It probably means no, or very limited, PDF results Josh 1 “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. uk12points 434 Posted March 4 #29 Share Posted March 4 So the qualifiers for the men’s table tennis quarterfinals from what I can tell are: in that case who would get the 4th quota given Egypt has already qualified a team? Josh
uk12points 434 Posted March 4 #30 Share Posted March 4 For the women the quarterfinalists are: More straightforward for qualification Josh
