I found it interesting that, despite the in-stadium announcer stating that the Russian athletes were from Russia, the streaming commentator never said 'Russia'. He only referred to the athletes by their name. I'm sure an intentional, quiet protest. I'm curious how other commentators may respond to the inclusion of Russia in other sports. (Didn't know if this should be here or in Politics.) -

That's still ok. I think that principle can be applied to Oceania and Africa even for these games to avoid same nations like Australia and South Africa get all team sport quotas. But for rest I prefer the model that allows nations to participate in more team sports if they have the merit.
