EOC released some info on a couple of sports today: https://www.eurolympic.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/2023_04_04_Participation_Sports_KM2023.pdf

An interesting highlight: “Medals will be awarded to the three best athletes (across all three divisions) of each
individual discipline. However, no medal ceremonies will be arranged. Medals will be counted in the official medal table of the 2023 European Games.”

Not sure that's all that sensible an idea. Better to follow the DNA Minsk idea of having the Team champs, and then inviting the eight best performers across divisions at those champs (or the top 3 in each division in the vertical jumps) back for a one day 'gala' of nothing but "European Games" finals.

It was the same format in Minsk. The medalists were determined from times set in the different quarterfinals. I like your idea though.

It kind of ruins some events as there will be less tactical racing.

The format militates against that anyway - the 100, 200, 400, 100/110h, 400h and 800 for example, and all the relays, are run in two timed heats and the times simply merged. I think that's unfortunate. 1500, 3000 SC and 5000, as well as all the field event are run as straight finals of 16

Badminton quotas were posted by the EOC: https://www.eurolympic.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/All_Badminton-1.pdf

Happy to see :ISL:MLT get quotas :d

Look at the "Österreichisches Olympisches Comité" - Downloads - for a more detailed schedule.

Oddly, it seems that they have removed the file. Luckily I downloaded it earlier, but it makes one wonder whether there's some significant schedule changes :p
