There's a clear anti-Russian/Ukrainian propaganda in the Western world. What else do you expect from Fourcade? He probably wants all :RUS:UKR:BLR banned from IBU competition

Yes, everyone in the west is clearly against the famous Russia-Ukraine alliance of recent years.

I wouldn't go this far concerning Fourcade but yes there is a clear bias

No one formulated an inch of suspicion about Brorsson who is the woman Pidruchnhyi of this Champs

Like none of these athletes care about the politics. They couldn't recognize Odessa from Omsk anyway.

It could have been worse if we had a male Kuzmina out there so a Russian competing under a different flag with those kind of results. Since Shipullin has retired I guess MF needs to find a new punchbag. Might as well be Loginov and/or Pidruchnyi. It doesn't surprise me a lot.

Fourcade has never been anti-Shipulin, stop with your complete paranoïa though

It's not paranoia. His deleted IG comments were aimed at Loginov though and then Shipulin fired back

He criticized Loginov who has been convicted, I don't see the hatred here. Then Shipulin answered because Loginov is his teammate, it's just a little hitch between two great athletes respecting each other.

Fourcade is not anti-Russian

Right. You mentioned his awkward comments about Pidruchnyi though. If he says that in public I can only wonder what he really thinks about all this

No idea, but has there ever been a larger swing from domination to simply fighting to make the flower ceremony in one year's time?  It is obvious that the coaching is working for the men's team, is that the issue?  I have no idea, but it sure has been dramatic to see people talking about how Fourcade would catch Bjordahlen, to now, will he win consistency again.

To be fair, unlike Pidruchnyi Loginov deserved being a punchbag.

    • I used public transit the entire time I was in Milan.   My first day was a doozy, because I had to two flights to reach Malpensa, and then the train into town was delayed, and then I got confused a station and boarded a tram instead of the metro, proceeded to travel in the wrong direction, got off, walked back to the station, found the metro, got off a station early, walked around a kilometer to my hotel, and checked in.   My colleagues mostly took cabs upon arrival, but I deduced to take the frugal approach. That said, I was a true public transit professional by the time I left Milan.   I actually enjoyed my rides to and from venues, because I'd just chat up fans and volunteers from different countries. It helped me learn more about the city too.
    • It's the olympics, sleep is for the weak!    The first day i got there i was on a 12 hour flight from l.a to rome (flight that left mid day), lay over, another flight to milan, uber to hotel, then right away to speed skating (1500m men), then after uber to hockey venue for women's gold final, then after the celebrations uber to the hotel, i ended up being awake about 36 hours that day, the next morning i thought to go sightseeing in the center of milan, but ended up sleeping until like 2pm..... and had speed skating/short track that night
    • I tried to get onto the metro multiple times and gave up    I had just arrived the day of from Bangkok (12 hr flight) and was just exhausted and wanted to sleep
    • Plus, you missed out on a potential metro ride with me, which is quite priceless in my opinion
    • My hotel was very close to Rho so was easy to get there, but it was so far from the hockey venue that after the women's gold medal match it was so expensive to get back, and also the next day after the usa slovakia semis it took forever, the asshole driver took the city and not the freeway
    • Uber cost me $224 CAD to get back to the hotel from the OC. It basically prevented me from buying tickets to a speed skating session
    • Romania's national team coach, Mircea Lucescu, has died half an hour ago He was in hospital since March 30th, just before the friendly match against Slovakia. Unbelievable how the life can have such turns...in March 26th he was in Istanbul playing the WC qualifying play-off vs Turkiye and now he died.    Thank you very much for every moments you bring us in your huge career (he's on 3rd place in a most trophies won in career, after Ferguson and Guardiola) and may your soul rest in peace, Mr. Lucescu.
