Leave it to the US to be good at shooting

and behind him, :CHN Dun Yueheng, :ARG Federico Gil and :GER Felix Haase with a score of 123 are sure to make the final...

:ITA Cassandro Tammaro also have a chance to make it into the top 6, but he still need a perfect 25 in the last series...

for the last spot (or the last 2) in the top 6, instead, we're going to have a big, big shoot-off with at least 6 or 7 shooters (5 already safe on 122, the Olympic Champion :ITA Gabriele Rossetti among them, plus some others who still have to complete their final qualification series)...

One guy in the final and another in shoot-off, good performance :ARG  :yes

The second best outcome if shooter N°2 doesn't make it would be two italians in the final.

Well, at least two other european athletes won the quota place. Might be helpful in later stages. Still, so far it's an awful Olympic qualification period for the german shooters.

    • Yeah, we have such a strong crop of Juniors, that we can’t take them all. They all have exciting trajectories but to predict what Junior swimmers will is always difficult. Better to let them all swim together at Juniors than rocketing them all up to seniors and swimming a prelim and going home.
    • Hanlon is the most unlucky, in my opinion. Aside from relay cover, she's the 50m champ and they made a point of including consideration for those events being in LA for the other discretionary picks. Essentially she has the same case for selection as Max Morgan (albeit without the trajectory right now).   Blocksidge's form was way off this week (compared to her previous bests). Obviously being still young you could put that down to relative inexperience. Still, she has World and European Juniors that she could still be selected for this summer. There's an argument that performing well at those might be as beneficial as going to Singapore.   That said, I'm happy that they did take a bunch of discretionary picks. That's not always been the case.

    • it was below and over 57/73kg (4 categories, 2 for men and 2 for women), if I remember correctly    however, basically they gave a title shot to a meaningless competition, in order to try and relive the open category, but it was a fiasco
