Nafi Thiam was well on her way to setting the world's best heptathlon result since Jackie Joyner-Kersee's WR in 1988, but apparently sustained a bit of an injury and now is behind schedule :(

It's amazing how much this dude has progressed, he wasn't particularly great before Rio, now he's throwing top ten all-time distances.

 

Brazil athletics in general has gotten crazy good these last two years.
