That wasn't the best of games. Germany had the possession but couldn't do anything with it. Havertz was poor and Werner completely MIA once he came on. France won but didn't even have to play at their best.

Germany scored more goals than France and still lost ... :cry:

Also this goal alone was worth to unretire Hummels from the national Team. He did his job as a secret agent perfectly.

You mean when Mbappe made up 12 m over a 10 m distance on him and he almost caused a penalty?

First round for the hosts:

 

matches won: 3

matches lost: 5

draws: 1

 

I wonder if in later rounds it will help the hosts that they won't have to travel between matches, but right now this tournament isn't going well for them for the most part.

That defencive midfield Rabiot-Kante-Pogba did actually one of the best defensive jobs I've ever seen. Impressive.
