Men's Football UEFA European Championship 2020

It looks like Szoboszlai will very likely miss EURO2020. No Szoboszlai, no Kalmár... we are fucked. We actually had a good team for once but these two injuries killed our small chance to do a miracle in that group. And both of these injuries seem severe, they might never be the same after it.

No Euro for Dutch captain Virgil van Dijk, who hasn't yet recovered from his knee injury given to him by Everton goalie Jordan Pickford's idiotic attack on his legs.

Our federation officially confirmed we booked a whole complex in one of the hotels in Dublin, Ireland as our bascemp during the tournament. without announcing which one exactly

So sadly we had to change our basecamp, UEFA will repay the cancellation costs. Our Federation chosed and booked the Hotel Belmond in Saint Petersburg (basecamp of :KSA  during 2018 World Cup) which will be entirely closed in a special bubble and will use the Zenit St. Petersburg training center.

Paulo Sousa announced the :POL squad.

Biggest surprise is Grosicki only being on the reserves list but he only played three games at West Brom this season and I personally think he doesn't bring anything to NT anymore. Other notable absentee is Szymanski who is a regular starter at Dinamo Moscow but doesn't have a chance to play in midfield in NT and he sttruggled at wing when Sousa gave him a chance in March.

17yo Kacper Kozlowski is the youngest player in the squad.

K.Piątek, Reca, Bielik and Goralski are all out through injuries.

Since Piatkowski (RB Salzburg) and Puchacz (Union Berlin) will be leaving Ekstraklasa in the summer window it's safe to say Slovakia has called up more players from Polish league than Poland :p

    • That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics on the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.
    • That’s not a long distance, it’s barely a 2h flight and there is no difference in timezone. Easily doable for fans as well.

    • That's so they can play in both venues in Canada.  Will mean that the UEFA Path A winner has to go from Toronto to Los Angeles and then up to Seattle.   Someone was bound to draw the short straw in that group since 4 of the matches are Central, but 2 are in Santa Clara.  Unfortunately, that's Algeria.
