This Bratislava based group was founded in 1968, but the first album was released in 1981 and since then they achieved and experienced only glory and successes. Elán is still considered as the most successful Slovak pop music band of all times. They had and have around hundred of huge hits in Slovakia and Czechia, so it was not easy at all to select just one for the contest. As rumours have told, the selected artist wasn't on the original shortlist, but shortly before deadline she was remembered.
