Qatar have already started their preparation for Paris 2024. This week they had submitted offers for 3 of our weightlifters to switch to Qatar - Karlos Nasar, Bozhidar Andreev and Martin Toshev. Karlos was offered 3000 dollars monthly salary, Bozhidar 2000, and for Martin a bit less, since he is younger, plus a 50 dollar daily allowance for all 3. Thankfully all 3 of them rejected, but who knows what will happen in the future...

Nasar is the most promising among them. And if Qatar gets him they may not have to spend much effort on his new name either. It might be Nasser something .

  • 3 weeks later...

another drama in our weightlifting (which never fails to create drama) all of our top weightlifters (I mean everybody, 100% of them) left the training camp and boycotted the national team to protest against the WL federation and its president Ali Moradi. the guy who was close to Tamas Ajan long time ago and he is a candidate in IWF election. what a joke :lol:

and Mr Moradi claims that's totally OK if they leave, we can create another team! :facepalm:

Youth championship

India doing well 1-2-1 and leading the table with lighter weights over .... The lead will shift after the heavier weights come in ..... But good start

strength does not come from physical capacity but from an indomitable will. - Gandhi

@hckošice

Vladimir Macura wins the +102kg weight. :d

well, this is certainly a shocking and hardly believable success. I guess the competition level was really poor, or is the kid a sort of some real hidden gem nobody in this country discovered yet ?

Well, Hosny :EGY lifted 11kg more in total three weights lower in -89kg, just for comparison.

Mohamed Jalloud (IRQ) is the new IWF president. everybody else withdrew so he won the job without the election !

not sure if that satisfies Tommy B. Jalloud isn't clean. he was part of Ajan's team.
