One thing happens.

"I might go again at the beginning of next season."

I’m pretty sure that if Calgary got the 2026 games and Lake Louise ended up being chosen as the Downhill / Super G venue over Nakiska you would have seen Vonn compete there...

If slalom speciallist Michelle Gisin can finish 2nd here, Vonn could win racing without the ski poles :old:

I know that but she still gained the most time in the technical GS/SG middle sector. Old habits die hard! :p

What an amazing result for Weidle!

I criticized the german coaches often enough, but what they did with Dreßen and now apparently with Weidle is amazing. Hopefully Dreßen will be back in top shape by the start of next season, he could co-dominate men's downhill for many years.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
