 And as soon as they publish the list, Dellien declares he will not compete at Lima :facepalm:

@intoronto do you know if Bolivia keeps the place or is going to be reallocated?

It won't be reallocated I think. It will likely go unused. How stupid :facepalm:

----

There appears to be gold reallocations as well after the list was finalized lol. AFAIK, :ISV, :BAR, :BOL all received reallocated spots

Flagbearer: Jorge VEGA - Artistic Gymnastics

@vinipereira

Curiously, they rejected three quotas in shooting, two in equestrian, and women's table tennis. Any news about this last one @intoronto

Interesting at shooting. The entire quota was not used, so those 3 spots won't be reallocated.

Table tennis also loses a team quota. That's interesting. Must be an injured player after entries closed, meaning no reallocation. However, if it was declined,  it should have gone to :ESA   followed by :GUY, :PAR and :TTO all of which did not name an additional (or any) female table tennis player.

 Well, then they will have to make some modifications for the women's team event... they were planning on using 4 groups of 3 teams each.

:MEX Mexico's flagbearer is going to be Jorge OROZCO (Shooting), our first qualified competitor for Tokyo :yes

Good decision... he won't compete the next day, he's not a favorite so he has no pressure and it's a nice touch to give him that privilege.

This is why I believe tennis (and golf) should not be part of the Olympics. Or any multi-sport event, for that matter.

It doesn't help that the international federations don't care about them. Imagine if they made multi-sport games a 250 level tournament. That alone would attract everyone outside of the very best and even then, I imagine some would swing by too.

It honestly makes no sense that Golf and Tennis at the Olympics don't count for their respective rankings. The Olympics used to be the equivalent of an ATP 500 event in terms of rankings, which at least made sure the people who competed at the Olympics didn't get punished in the rankings. Some marginal PGA player skipped Rio for that reason - he was in danger of losing his PGA card (so basically his livelihood) and he couldn't afford to skip any PGA events.

    • Important information on team Aerials.   There is no AIN`s team at the start list of the world cup despite of the fact that belorussians have enough athletes to have a team.   https://medias4.fis-ski.com/pdf/2026/FS/8119/2026FS8119SLF1.pdf
    • By the way. It looks like no AIN`s will be in biathlon by the start of the Olympics. Russians filed an appeal to CAS to get AIN statuses in biathlon. But IBU did not agree to have hearings with short procedure. So the decisons are not expected before the end of qulifying period. (FIS could do the same but its top-officials prefer to help russians be back as quick as possible).   I would like to see Dolidovich at the Games. Because she is a real refugee of the relatively high level.
