Wow, not much choice left then. Tbh I expect it all to be topped back up for the single ticket phase, which is what I'm aiming for at this point. If I do get picked, I'll try and string a pack the best I can.

Exactly, now it's not worth buying. The next phase will be crucial, with more tickets (?). And even if you fail to buy, there is always the possibility of buying tickets from other people in the third phase

Yes, but only the category A tickets at whopping 690 euro a piece...

Equestrian sold out. :nopompom: Many other sports too including cycling, canoe slalom, fencing etc.

And what's left is almost all at the highest of prices. 100 euro for the archery men's team 1/8 finals? That's 4 matches for teams ranked 5th-12th in the seeding. Women's artistic gymnastics is sold out, while for the men's only the 260 euro tickets per subdivision are left.

Hey. Guys do you know, anything in Paris area in reasonable prices left? Maybe voleyball, waterpolo, field hockey, rugby, beach volleybal, handball or some weightlifting, tennis, badminton or table tennis.

It's selling out fast. Mostly the most expensive Category A tickets are left.

In Paris, for 100 euro or under, there are tickets left for rugby sevens, football, table tennis, archery, badminton, field hockey, golf, wrestling, canoe sprint, water polo and women's marathon.

Meanwhile, I bought just one pack of three tickets. Hoping to get more later on (most of all - eventing).

Day -1, Thursday 25.07.2024.

Rugby sevens (Men's 9th-12th Place Semi-Finals (2 matches), Quarter-Finals (4 matches)) - RU703 - 20:00 at Stade de France (hello @OlympicIRL)

Day 1, Saturday 27.07.2024.

Artistic gymnastics (Men's qualification - subdivision #3) - GAR03 - 20:00 at Arena Bercy

Day 2, Sunday 28.07.2024.

Football - FBL23 (Women's C4 vs C2) - 17:00 at Parc des Princes

Artistic gymnastics is my "unicorn" ticket for now. It's the only sport on my short list which still had tickets left so I didn't want to miss it out. On the plus side, I should get some of the best seats in the house so that's nice.

Finally, I also got access to ticket sales since yesterday. Unfortunately, there are no more affordable tickets for sale for my favorite sports, so I have decided to fully focus on the second round. And on team sports as soon as the draw and match schedule are known.

Pretty bummed, I expected more from it :(

Got pulled today! Tuesday is a terrible day to have the start of the window, but I'll try finding some time.

My expectations aren't high. Will most likely end up buying one pack this time and hope to be able to fill it up later.

In the early 1990s, they fought for Yeltsin- who, of courss, failed, but that's no reason to allow themselves to be manipulated by Putin- a man worse than even Brezhnev. In my opinion, it would be much easier to reach an agreement with the USSR than with today's Russia, because the USSR and its ruling Communist Party were much more predictable than Putin and his gang, who now is rulling in Moscow.

    • @bestmen Look, I've been reading your comments regarding Russia for quite some time, and I don't want to bite my tongue this time.   First, context matters. I agree with @copravolley. It’s not an insult to say that people who don’t live near Russia often underestimate what this war actually means for Europe. Out of the three of us, I can say with certainty that I feel the most directly affected by and concerned about this war.   In the same way I wouldn’t share my opinions on Africans and the conflicts on their continent, or lecture Palestinians about the war in Gaza, it’s reasonable to listen first when Europeans explain why this is not just a political disagreement that happens to block Russian athletes from competing, but an ongoing war of aggression that doesn’t only affect Ukraine, but also countless other countries located nearby with a long and dramatic history of communism and Russian influence. To make it clear, you're absolutely entitled to your opinion. However, you have repeatedly pushed the same narrative about the supposed injustice towards Russian competitors.   Second of all, the claim that Russian athletes have nothing to do with politics is blatantly wrong. It's a lie, and you know it. Countless Russians are actively supporting the crimes that Russia is committing on Ukrainian soil, advocating for further military operations, and show little to no remorse. Many Russians supported Putin throughout his presidential campaigns and continued doing so even after the invasion. Just look at their public statements made over the past three years. They are expected to align with the state’s narrative. That’s not an individual moral judgment, it’s how the system works.   Major Russian sports clubs are directly linked to or derived from the military. Hockey players wear war symbols and slogans on their jerseys, and this is only the tip of the iceberg. Russian sports and politics are two sides of the same coin, closely related ever since the state began pouring money into centralised doping programs and sporting propaganda. Bringing up Netanyahu or Israeli doping is pretty much just whataboutism. If there is proven, systematic wrongdoing in sport, it should be addressed through proper investigations and sanctions. That does not magically erase or excuse Russia’s actions, nor does it justify pretending this war doesn’t exist when it becomes inconvenient.
