To be fair, she's been living in Portugal for years now trying to get citizenship. She technically couldn't leave Portugal to compete for STP or else it would have restarted the citizenship process again.

I know, this was more of a jokey post as Sao Tome's only chance of a first Olympic medal in this decade has now almost certainly gone.
