theoretically...but find another 2nd tier relay that can run 42.13 or better ;)

I wouldn't rule it out for Switzerland, though of course it would need for the Kambundjis to finally run in the relays.

Updating how many quotas each country guarantees.

The qualification document indicates that each team can take 5 athletes on their gender relay and 4 athletes on their mixed relay
athletes with individual quota MUST participate in the M and F 4x100m and 4x400m, but it doesn't say anything regarding the mixed 4x400m (or I haven't found)

So I'm counting it as 5 (and 2 men and 2 women on the mixed relay), but obviously they could pick someone from 200m, 800m, 400m hurdles, etc.

(AFTER DAY 2)
120 female quotas (55 on 4x100m, 56 on 4x400, 9 on the mixed relay)
120 male quotas (58 on 4x100, 51 on 4x400, 11 on the mixed relay)

wow, it was 50%-50% if my math is right. Obviously, in the end, many if not most of these quotas will come through new EST or  individual ranking.

Hammer Thrower Volodymyr Myslyvchuk, originally from :UKR has been living for quite some time in the Czech Republic and in January, he obtained Czech citizenship. Recently, he threw 77,31 m which means limit for ECH in June. Now, Czech athletic federation is dealing with WA whether he can represent :CZE at the ECH this year. I checked his ranking, he is currently 31st in Road to Paris and his last throw was only less than a meter from the strict limit to Paris. Do you guys think he may get an approval for ECH? If so, if he throws 78,20m or qualifies to Paris through the Olympic ranking, could he represent :CZE ??? I know the timing is quite tight and I remember that before there were some rules that you have to represent your new country for a year or two? Not quite sure..... before you can qualify for the Olympics representing your new country. Does anybody how is it right now before Paris? I also noticed some athletes, weightlifters switched to :BRN citizenship and qualified to Paris but I don't know how long ago they changed the nationality. Thanks.

Good work, but I think many countries will use the mixed to bring extra quotas as like you said, the “you must use individual quotas to count” in the gendered races doesn’t apply (and they can’t bring subs specifically for the mixed)

For Ireland I’m counting our women’s as 4 new quotas and mixed as 2 men and 2 women (Adeleke is already qualified). I expect Mawdsley will qualify in the women’s too so it might end up being 2 individuals, 5 women relay runners, 2 men relay runners

The last international event he competed representing :UKR that I could found was the 2018 Euros. Three years has passed since that, so he wouldn't have any problems to represent another country.

Now it's only waiting until WA gives the thumbs up. We spaniards are in the same scenario waiting for former :CUB Yulemnis Aguilar is given the green ligth in time for the ECH cause she already has spanish nationality.

Oh, I see. So it's about being at an international events and representing the country. So if he did not participate in other competitions where he would represent another country since 2018, so it should be fine, right. So now, let's hope Myslyvchuk and Aguilar get the green light from WA and can participate in ECH and possibly also at the Olympics 💪💪💪

    • Ya but the replacement is Pat Bondi, a choice that is only better in so far as Pat Bondi isn't credibly accused of having had sex with multiple underaged girls.   Also, you might recognize this name: Pete Hoekstra has been nominated to be the US ambasador to Canada.

    • 2-1.   But it's good to have a great champion in the squad. I've been waiting for this my whole life. I wish we had such stars in every sport.
    • But he beat Mouat, who seems to be almost unbeatable
    • Argentina has a really solid lineup, especially if they have prepared seriously for this event. Of course they don't have a champion like we do, but in this format it is enough to win 1 match to play the decisive doubles.
    • Today we must to beat Argentina. It looks like Sinner will have to win all the singles and doubles for us to defend the title. So far, the 2nd and 3rd favorites before the tournament have already been eliminated: Esp and USA.
