Four medals for :POL today. We finally look remotely respectable!! :yes

We might broke 10 medala, Fajdek, Nowicki might made similar thing like womens today, Andrejczyk, womens 4x400 relay, K4 500 in canoeing, Rudyk in sprint in track cycling (after today performance I believd for him). Skrzypulec and Ogar still might have bronze and if our guys will beat France then I doubt that we will lost with Argentina. I keep fingers for everyone :fingers:

We're still on a good pace to break our total medal tally from Sydney 2000 (25 total, 12-9-4). However breaking that 12 gold record is going to be super difficult.

To get 6 more gold medals to equal 12, we need perfect performances in 6 out of these 7 events: 1500m, 10.000m (Sifan Hassan), sprint, keirin (Lavreysen), field hockey (women team), open water swimming (Sharon van Rouwendaal) and boxing (Nouschka Fontijn).

We still have some other medal chances in 400mH (Femke Bol), handball (women team) and various track cycling events, but right now I don't see any of them winning gold.

After Day 11 Rio: 203/306 events, 75 NOCs with medals

After Day 11 Tokyo: 225/339 events, 84 NOCs with medals

The :USA US lacking 4 golds compared to Rio (28-28-28) while the :CHN Chinese are a massive 15 ahead (17-15-19 in Rio). The race for the crown will be interesting between them in the last 5 days. :JPN Japan (7-4-18 in Rio) are looking solid for 3rd with likely no chance for the :ROC Russians (12-12-14 in Rio)  to catch up.

:NZL New Zealand (3-6-1 in Rio) on their way making it a splendid games. Lisa Carrington, among others, made sure to improve on the London (finished 6-2-5) and Rio (finished 4-9-5). Should they win two more golds, it'd also equal the most amount of golds the Kiwis had won in one Olympics (8-1-2 in LA 1984).

:HUN Hungary now trying to edge back to Rio (6-3-4 after Day 11) in canoeing and wrestling while against the odds of many, the :CUB Cubans could even follow up the last two Olympics with 5 golds each or more.

As of yet, :BRA Brazilians have won more medals than in 2016 (3-4-4). :KEN Kenya (3-3-0 in Rio) and :KAZ Kazakhstan (2-3-5 in Rio) however, far behind.

Now that we are up to 10 on that 4th place counter here is the comparison of bronze and 4th* places.

(Bronze/4th*)

:USA  21/23

:GBR  13/15

:CAN  7/14

:ROC  17/13

:CHN  16/12

:ITA  15/11

:KOR  9/11

:NED  7/11

:JPN  11/10

:FRA  8/10

:HUN  3/10

Oh God why... By far the worst ratio among the top countries in the 4th* place counter. We would have 2 more bronze medals if we would tie this worst ratio with :CAN
