Athletes that could not fight for a medal due to positive COVID-19 test

 

Discussion Thread about athletes as a big medal contestants who were supposed to fight for one of the medal and could not due getting COVID-19 test positive. It could be tested positive or false positive test and unfortunately we may expect some political involvement in the positive/negative covid tests.

Yeah, tell me about that. I was thinking whether somebody can boycott some athletes by providing fake document about their covid test positive?

Not likely. One would assume athletes have to show a negative test, for example, and it's not like any random person can just go and provide a document for any other random athlete and say it happens to be positive

Well, that's understandable. I just truly hope no politics or unfair behaviour will influence the covid tests in order to keep someone out of competition.....

In many sporting competitions this year a positive Covid test is immediately repeated. Is that not the case here?

it seems Tennis players are very unlucky in general. unluckiest athletes, poor guys. they get injured, get COVID positive right before the Games.

 

the only explanation is that this sport is cursed. there is absolutely no other explanation . no way
