Nothing, he just DNS, as one of the world cup top 10 he is automatically pre-qualified. It´s his right to save some energy for tomorrow and DNS in the qualifiers.

I still hate this system, though. Yes, it's the jumper's right to use the rules to their advantage. And Stoch is far from the first ski jumper not to start in a qualification. It was Sven Hannawald, who started it all. But I wish the FIS would change the rules, that the Top 10 have to start in the qualification at the 4 hills tournament as well.

Marco Mathis is the German Champion in the Individual Pursuit in Track Cyling, beating Roger Kluge in the final. It isn't that surprising that he's a good time trialist, guys like Bradley Wiggins came from the track pursuit as well, after all. The extremely flat course in Doha was also an adventage for Mathis.

I gave Holzdeppe much less points than I would have otherwise because of his injury. I agree that Holzdeppe in shape has a much higher chance to win a medal, but sadly he hasn't been fit this season.

Here you can see his current position (you have to select men's 400m hurdles). I think he needs to hope that 3 faster guys (assuming that no russian athlete will be allowed to compete) decline their spot. I am not very optimistic, its very sad that Franz and Königsmark werent able to get back into their top shape. 

How many medals do you expect? I think 10-12 medals would be a good result for us.

I wouldn't trust this. There are many players they mentioned as not qualified due to Davis Cup who will qualify nonetheless. For example Germany's Zverev, who only didn't play enough Davis Cup, because he wasn't nominated. Such players were allowed to participate in the London games and they will be allowed to play in Rio as well.

That was really a terrible competition for South Korea. Not a single results with 14 points or more and outside of Vault only two marks better than 13 points.

Ok, we need exactly 53,1 points at UB fo finish ahead of Australia and therefore to qualify. This is an average of 13,26. Normally it shouldn't be a problem. I just hope they show a solid performance.

Well hopefully. Uneven bars is always a bit tricky, of course.

Three of our best gymnasts are currently injured, so if the team does a solid competition and qualifies, I'm satisfied. So far I am.
