Don't know if it will be as easy as you think. Geiger and whoever almost beat holdener in the first round (I think it was Dürr) were looking quite good. Zuzulova might not be back at her best yet, so the only run Slovakia will almost certainly win is Vlhova's.
Just like Straßer, Dürr is very good in this discipline and can beat most competitors. Nonetheless, I do think that whoever will win out of Germany - Slovakia (and IMO Germany is slight favourite because of Zuzulova's injury) will lose to Switzerland in the QF.

Really ...
In the trial round he was lightyears ahead of everyone else, in the qualification it was much closer. Either his jump in the trial round was much better or everyone else got suddenly much better in the qualification ... what do you think?
According to the wind Points, he was among the Jumpers with the best wind conditions in trial round. Only Forfang and Tande had it better: http://medias2.fis-ski.com/pdf/2018/JP/3095/2018JP3095RTRIA.pdf
In Qualification he had the worst wind of all athletes who finished in the top 40. http://medias2.fis-ski.com/pdf/2018/JP/3095/2018JP3095RLQ.pdf
Of course the conditions were all around fair, and the differences weren't that high. But nonetheless there is a difference between having basically the best wind of all jumpers and having the worst, and the points can't compensate everything. Personally, I'm glad that Wellinger can win a round even with more tailwind than his rivals.

Not really ... far worse than his previous jump.
Wellinger also had far worse conditions than during the Trial round.

To be honest, for me, the only REAL chances we have are all in ski jumping, where if we won't get at least one medal in each men's event will be disappointment. Personally I hope we will get something more in other sports too, but i don't believe in more than 5-6 medals, 3 of which should be in ski jumping.
Don't you have a pretty good speed skater?

You know who are this italian athletes? Any source/link?
No, I don't know which Italians are on board. I only know about the Italians from this tweet by Lindsey Vonn: https://twitter.com/lindseyvonn/status/961281609428361216
About Frenzel and the Ice Hockey Players I knew from some Instagram posts and this article: https://www.bild.de/sport/olympia/olympia-2018/flug-chaos-um-fahnentraeger-frenzel-54740656.bild.html
Anyway, they started in Munich around an hour ago.

Eric Frenzel

Well, if he makes it to Pyeongchang in time. The plane, which should have left Munich six hours ago, is still standing on Munich Airport. Lindsey Vonn is in this plane as well, so are the German ice hockey team and several Italian athletes.

Frenzel is from East Germany as well. And so are several athletes, who carried the German flag in the past.

It's a public voting between five candidates: Christian Ehrhoff, Eric Frenzel, Natalie Geisenberger, Claudia Pechstein and Viktoria Rebensburg: https://www.teamdeutschland.de/de/fahnentraeger.html

Did I understand it correctly, that Russia is not allowed to send a relay?

Just cancel this 2nd round, unless you're specifically aiming for an extremely unfair competition
First round wasn't completely fair, either. Stjernen had no chance.

The rule isn't idiotic. It admittedly might have seemed so yesterday, because Germany would never have scored another goal. But in general, it makes a lot of sense. If there had been six seconds time instead of two, blocks like these could be crucial.
The Slovenian players made a very dumb mistake. If they hadn't blocked the German players like these, they would have won.
Slovenian coach admitted in German TV, that he didn't know the rule. You can see the interview, here: http://www.sportschau.de/handballem2018/video-deutschland-gegen-slowenien---die-analyse-100.html
It starts around 6:06 minutes in and he's speaking English. But I don't know if the video is Geoblocked.
So if the coach doesn't know the rule. And some players didn't seem to know it either (or blocked the German one inspite of knowing the rule), it's really their own fault. And I would have said the same, if the situation were reversed.

Well, it's proportionnal to the gold medal chances you had in the first place.
Maybe. But while I like most other winter sports a lot as well, Alpine Skiing is my personal favourite, so losing Neureuther and Luitz was really a pretty hard blow for me.
-
Luitz might very well have been more than just an outsider, at least regarding the medals. He was on the podium in all Giant Slaloms this season before his injury and also counting last season, he was in the top 5 for five Giant Slaloms in a row. But one can't change it. But it's just awful.

doubles: Germany
Each federation can send a maximum of two luge doubles to PyeongChang. Geueke/Gamm are only replacement, if one of the other two doubles cannot participate.
