Athletics Qualification to Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games
EselTheDonkey replied to OlympicIRL's topic in Athletics
They changed the URL for the last World Championships. The site is still online, but the Content isn't: https://roadto.de/ However: I know the guys who made this site. They are from a german athletics message board. And I'm pretty sure they won't continue to update the site. It was much easier to update the ranking by PB than do the World Ranking. I don't know for sure, but I think it's unlikely that they will continue to update the list. If they do, they'll probably do a Road to Doha first and start the Road to Tokyo at some Point after the World Championships. -

Do you know the points distribution for Team sprint and Team pursuit for the Olympic Ranking? How many Points do the federations get for each rank? Thanks a lot. -
Ski Jumping at the Nordic Skiing FIS World Championships 2019
EselTheDonkey replied to Totallympics's topic in Ski Jumping
Of course Lundby didn't come out of nowhere. I'm disappointed and a bit angry, because I think Althaus was today the best Jumper and deserved to win gold. But there's no doubt that Lundby is a world class ski Jumper. -

Overall World Cup 2013/14: https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/ski-jumping/cup-standings.html?sectorcode=JP&seasoncode=2014&cupcode=WC&disciplinecode=all&gendercode=L&nationcode= As you can see, in contrast to what is generally thought, Vogt did not come out of nowhere in Sotschi. She did not win because she was suddenly better than during the World Cup. She won because Takanashi was significantly worse than during the World Cup. Same during the World Championships 2015. Only at the WC two ago she came from an outsider position. -

I'm a bit angry. That's undeserved. I'm sorry, but it is. Lundby almost fell down in the first round and got way to high marks. -
Hirscher said, that he didn't Risk anything after Schwarz' injury.

You could start with a Slalom run and then reverse the result for the starting order in the Downhill. -
It's like in the Tennis World Ranking List with athletes regularly winning and losing points.

Alpine Skiing FIS World Championships 2019
EselTheDonkey replied to hckošice's topic in Alpine Skiing
If Vlhova does participate, I think you will have a good Chance. She would have won her run for sure, and you would only have needed one more win for at least a tie. Which is possible, our men's team with Neureuther possibly not competing in team's event and Luitz being injured is a bit dubious as well. But I agree that without her Germany would be the favourite. -

Looks like we'll meet again in team's event. Same procedure as every year. Here's hoping Vlhova takes a rest to have more energy for the Slalom. -
German Eurosport commentator just said, that Vlhova made the home crowd in Maribor happy.
