No. Sadly no.

It is in fact a Tournament for nations aiming to start (some return) one day to the World Championship program but currently do not have an IIHF required ice rink (which is one of the conditions to take part in the WCh program since a couple of years when IIHF strengthened its rules).

However they can take part in this developement tournament every year if they wish.

Team Update (25.04.2024)

17th Qualified athlete and 5th Sport for Slovakia

The 21 years old Košice born windsurfer Robert Kubín did qualify to the Medal Race at the Sailing Last Chance Regatta in Hyeres in France and by this won the so-called "Emerging Nations Program" quota.

For Slovakia it will be a return to the Olympic Games in Sailing after 16 years and Patrik Pollák participation in RS:X class in Beijing 2008.

So Team Slovakia is now composed of:

17 Athletes in 5 sports. (8M+9W)
