Djokovic has announced he is a dangerous idiot who doesn't care about general wellbeing of people. Good to know

Throwing stones to Russian riot police doesn't work, you need flashbangs, shotguns or walking around them. Do these people not play Call of Duty?

I don't know if the Italian team are suffering from financial issues, though it would be hard to believe seeing their recent successes.

But I was always angry that the teams had additional quotas to use and chose not to give their other athletes any chances.

They didn't bring back Oberhofer and she retired, they didn't give a World Cup chance to Runggaldier and now she retired too.

Next target is possibly Gontier, since the Italian team chose to run Sanfilippo + Carrara without using up their extra spots on the women's side.

Making Bolsonaro significantly more dangerous and, unlike Trump, giving him a feel of someone who could realistically become an actual dictator.

Netanyahu has got to go if Israel ever wants respect from the Western World (and possibly better relations with the Islamic block).

    Hey!

Yeah, I also never saw a person with a username with 1010 in it before you so it was a welcome sight. I can now see how you got the number.

For me, it's actually kind of a funny story. When I was originally creating a number, I wanted to use the numbers of my two favourite baseball players which were 19 and 10 and put them together. However, when I was creating the username for the first time, I accidentally hit 0 instead of 9 so I ended up with 1010 and I've stuck with that ever since.

Unrelated and unaffiliated is all I have to say about that. The 1010 part of my user name is personal, and honestly rather easy to figure out. I’ve never actually another user (anywhere) with 1010 before, so hi @Topicmaster1010

By the way, if anyone happens to have some old spectator guides, ticketing guides, broadcast schedules, qualification systems, etc. sitting around on your computer (or other devices), I’d gladly accept a copy. I’m nearly done with international multi-sport games results from 2009-present (at least based off what I can find, and there’s not many places results could be hiding from me at this point), and so I’m focusing on building up other parts of archive/collection now.

The quarantining of some Roma slums was arguably the best thing we did.

the one in Žehra is in absolutely critical situation, there was confirmed community spread in the whole ghetto. the locals do not follow the appointments at all...despite being quarantined and guarded by the police and army forces, they still gather outside of their homes in the street, nobody is isolated at home, they do not wear masks. don´t have any basic hygienical habits...

sorry but the complete isolation and quarantining of the ghetto and disallowing the locals to go to the neighborhood cities to shop and eventually spread the infection was the most sensible and only possible solution to avoid the total disaster, meanwhile the infection also appeared in some other Roma settlements in the country which were also locked.
(we have 1088 similar slums in the country, and many locals returned from GB in early March when we didn´t have the forced national quarantine for returning slovak citizens, they were just asked to isolate themseves at their homes...obviously these people didn´t do that, they continued to met their families and other people in the slums...result now we have a huge problem (the rule of forced quarantine in national facilities across the country were established only in the second part of March..now everybody entering the country (not living in 30km of the borders) have to be immediatelly placed in a national quarantne facility)

That’s different because of the way their qualification system is worded. The IWF is legally within their right to suspend a country that way, while other federations are not.

Plus there's a difference between banning someone from date X to date Y, in which case any event that's after date Y - no matter why it is after that date - is fair game for said someone to compete in, and banning someone from specific competitions, in which case the date doesn't matter. I wonder if anyone ever really thought athletes who would be banned until, let's say, September 2020 would NOT be allowed to compete in Tokyo next year? That'd just be weird.

Talking to a neighbour yesterday while doing some work outside, and (for what it's worth, he's a nice guy but tends to exaggerate a tiny bit) according to him the official death toll of 15-20 for my 27k people town is rather low....there were 15 in this nursing home who died in the past few weeks, 18 in that one, 15 in that home for handicapped people, 15 in that nursing home and at least 10 in that one.

It's going fast, yet people don't like when you say maybe this being a strict Christian town has something to do with it..

Another option is find a university special collections library that focuses on the Olympics.  You could also simply donate it to the college you graduated from with the requirement that it becomes searchable.  You could also try and contact NASSH.org. They could provide some contacts as well.  Possibly an article out of it as well.  That organization has the largest group of historians of sports in North America.

You say about LA84 - if they haven't answered yet and they won't until next week - write them once more exactly the same - copy-paste your previous e-mail. Just send it on the proper time - in the middle of the week in the night (4 AM let's say) - it should be the first mail they'd see and all cases from weekend already done by them. Then they shouldn't miss it so easily and get interested in that. At least that's what I usually do while writing to big organizations, IFs or IOC.

And I agree with heywoodu - you don't need to hurry. As you see - LA84 is a foundation being a heritage (or I think legacy is now the term used in the Olympic Movement) of the previous games in LA. The legacy of Atlanta 1996 is Around the Rings. I think there is something coming in the following years in the USA - World Games and LA2028 Games. By then you need to get contacts to people, step by step. Now you're more a less at the moment when I was beginning my career. I'll tell you the rest of my story in private to explain, what I mean.
