  6. Yeah, that's exactly what they did in Vancouver in 2010. I remember everything being scheduled really early compared to the last few games.
  7. Excited for the big stuff to finally begin! What's everyone looking forward to? I will personally be trying to catch all of the medal events but will be most interested in seeing whether or not Kingsbury can defend his title.

  9. No, CBC, I do not want to see the Americans walking for two minutes instead of American Samoa or Virgin Islands
  10. So assuming the official site is right, in order to make the free programs, Madeline Schizas needs to either finish two places ahead of Italy to tie, three places ahead of Italy to overtake them finish four places ahead of Japan to tie, five places ahead of Japan to overtake them finish five places ahead of China to tie, six places ahead of China to overtake them Not sure how the tie breaker rules work but either way, not looking too great
  11. Potentially. Good chance we're only going to get 3 points from the men's short program and if Japan gets 10 we'll be 7 points down. Not an easy deficit to come back from. But then again, there's a reason why they skate. Anyone can have a meltdown on any given day.
  12. Well, they could've also just had a volunteer carry the flag. It's happened before

  16. Mixed day overall I would say. Homan and Morris haven't been at their best but it was nice to see them almost beat Great Britain and get a win against the reigning bronze medalists to stay in the hunt for the playoffs. Hopefully they can regain their form tomorrow and be able to work as a team again. Dominant win from the women's hockey team. Unfortunate that Daoust had to get injured but fingers crossed that it isn't too serious. Nice to see Kingsbury and Justine Dufour-Lapointe qualify. I was honestly only expecting Kingsbury to qualify so it's nice to see two Canadians advance. Chloe Dufour-Lapointe should be safe to advance too since they count your best of two runs for the final. Gagnon should also hopefully be safe. Dumais has some work to do though. He seems to like to go really big so hopefully he can tone down his difficulty slightly so that he can be clean.
  17. Yeah, definitely not a great game, but Canada also struggled in the first game in 2018 too and went on a tear the rest of the way. Not concerned yet. On the other hand, having Great Britain, Norway and Switzerland as the first 3 opponents is a brutal trio of games to start the tournament.
