  1. Yeah Benzema was not exactly being a nice guy there I'm joing your hope about Albania by the way, let's go for a surprise
  2. Same kind of logic as Johan Cruijf and his "As long as you have possession of the ball, the other team doesn't"
  3. I voted for the second one by the way, because it doesn't show the athletes but the "playing fields" and I like it
  4. Drinks all over my desk thanks to this post, thanks a lot
  5. Yep. I was going through the rankings of the past years and it's incredible to see how China basically dominates especially the lighter women categories Maybe not always in terms of winning everything, but mostly when looking at the vast amounts of Chinese lifters in the world's top-20 in those weights, incredible.
  6. Thanks! Salimi is probably the first weightlifter I ever heard of, so I'm always somewhat interested in how he's doing even though on here I learned he's not much of a "nice guy" (with his PlayStation-playing scandals ). Nowadays Om is my favourite, but if you're someone who has absolutely never seen anything of weightlifting, it's easy to see Salimi and think "awesome! He's my favourite now!" Also I saw that there are some betting odds for weightlifting online since today and if Salimi was still injured, odds of 2 for him not to win the gold seemed quite good, but in this case I'll let that slip
  7. Well I'm not complaining, our players normally don't do this so for us it's only good when opponents think it's a good idea to stop eating during a major championship
  8. Last question, for now How is Salimi doing these days? I saw he lifted 430kg in Tehran, but I'm not sure how to interpret that: A) He's gettng back after injury and starting to get in shape or B) he's still injured and it's not looking good. Lot of questions these days but I'm trying to vastly improve my 'knowledge' for when the Olympics start
  9. Thanks! I just found the full results of those Chinese nationals and that's some serious stuff going down there https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rk_SqBJl8x9qWtnH3aiKR27l1dKkgcRXCO1A3xAsFIo/edit#gid=0
  10. Does anyone know whether or not Zhou Lulu is actually still active? She seems like the only one who might be able to beat Kashirina, but she has not a single result after the 2014 Asian Games..
  11. Athletes should get special permission to do that one month later, because year after year this thing messing up competitions
  12. So you might say Denmark is the only nation ever to lose the first 2 Euro matches in their history yet win a title as well.
  13. Good one. Yeah, that one earlier sort of half time where I said Wales is my favourite at Euro and I support Slovakia because of one of our most appreciated members in Totallympics By the way, Iceland is my other favourite (semi-Vikings FTW), whereas Portugal is the main nation I'd like to see lose because of both Cristiano and historical reasons
  14. Hoping for English trouble now because I'm very much hoping that Wales and Slovakia both go through I don't care much for Russia and England on the other hand (not because of what happened earlier, I just don't care )
  15. The professional criminals only react to English and stay calm when seeing Slovaks? That's good
  16. Apparently it's quite calm in Lille before RUS - SVK, surprise
  17. Now that's what I call an excellent and very informative preview! Yeah as for the team dressage, bronze is basically what I'm hoping for with Germany and Great Britain in front of us. Obviously it's always possible to excel and take something better home, but it'd be a very nice surprise. I didn't know about the troubles in the Dutch team though, that doesn't sound very hopeful..
  18. Who do you people think are the favourites in the three team events? I reckon we have a decent medal chance in the dressage and in the jumping (not the favourites, but a good chance to medal), but especially in dressage I'm wondering "where" Germany and Great Britain are nowadays.. I know Langehangenberg and Rath are gone and Werth can't use her best horses, but I see a German is leading the world rankings nonetheless..on the other hand, the British don't have tht many in the front of the world rankings.
  19. Greetings from Den Haag/The Hague, waiting for the show of the one and only Boss, Bruce Springsteen
