  1. By the way, do you also happen to know/be able to find out the team of your Czech brothers? Of course I checked their Facebook page, but it's not there.
  2. Thanks, it can not be more easy to understand, you are right
  3. I have no chance anymore, I forgot the last 10 meets or something
  4. It says something that 90% of the reactions here were "Why are the European Games outside of Europe?" I liked the sports, but with stuff like junior swimming in it, it's not gonna work.
  5. My enjoyment of these kind of things always completes entirely on the availability of live streams or at least good reports Like I was curious about the Asian Beach Games, but if there's barely even results online, let alone live streams....no thanks
  6. Thanks, IBU is the only one I'm already very much interested in. I just can't understand why it still says "Not applicable" under the reallocation of unused quota places, but alright.
  7. Why can we only find the documents on the website of the Portuguese NOC by the way? I can't find them on for example the IBU's website..I'm still waiting for them to update something about the reallocation of unused quotas which worries me
  8. where does this algeria guy come from i never saw him and now he takes the gold nobody knows him cheater referees
  9. About swimming: scrap the back/breast/fly strokes and replace them with a combination of 50 and 200m. So you get one butterfly champion, one backstroke champion etc. Having the possibility to win 3 gold medals in one stroke is just too much.
  10. And every suggestion that talks about adding a mixed event in any sport automatically has my disapproval No added value.
  11. Removing the most widespread team sport in terms of nations/continents with realistic medal chances (hockey) would be ridiculous in my opinion. Just like keeping men's junior football is ridiculous. Swimming should definitely not be expanded, adding even more events would have absolutely no added value. They could scrap some weights in for example men's boxing...no reason to have a weight class for every 3-4kg.
  12. Absolutely, equestrian was by far our biggest disappointment in terms of performance. First time in my life basically that we didn't win any equestrian medals. Then again, I don't really care about winning dressage medals or not, because I simply don't care for dressage (I wouldn't even watch the finals if we had the 3 biggest gold medal favourites ), I'm much more disappointed about winning no jumping medal. And especially about Dubbeldam missing out on the jump-off for gold by 0,02 seconds on the last ride on his horse I've never seen Dubbeldam cry that much I think.
  13. We did? Well yeah, the finish of the people far behind was really nice as always, the touching moments of the Iranian crawling over the finish, the Argentinian jumping sideways for the last km etc
  14. Overall I had expected this number of gold medals, but more total medals. Anyway, my nation winning medals isn't the most important thing for me at the Olympics of course, that's seeing great sports and I've seen A LOT of absolutely amazing matches, finals, races and so on
  15. About our team in the swimming pool: anything more than 2 medals already would have been surprising..like Dennis said, we were hoping for bronze in the 4x100m and maybe one medal from Kromowidjojo (like bronze in the 50 if everything went perfect), but that's about it. I'm much more saddened by Femke Heemskerk, of who we didn't expect an individual medal, but who had the most horrible swim meet in her career in terms of performance and technique...her French coach just destroyed her and she was swimming like a grandma, I've never seen a top swimmer look that bad in the pool. Considering she always comes across as a way nicer person than Kromowidjojo, I really hope she will change to another coach and finally reach her potential (which I believe can be bigger than Kromowidjojo) Polling in the judo had horribly bad luck with her draw, drawing the only opponent who really knows how to handle her already before the quarter finals..not much you can do about it. Like she said, "it's not like I lost to some 'nobody'..."
  16. There's quite a big difference between those two things.. Maybe it'd be helpful to put a * next to the name of people who didn't announced their retirement yet, but only said it will be their last Olympics? Because one can say "I will quite after the 2018 world championships", which means it's the last Olympics, but really means nothing about retirement yet..
  17. Thank you and goodbye Rio, now on to Pyeongchang
  18. Shinzo Abe coming out in a Super Mario-tube, awesome
  19. Does anyone know that Thomas Bach was a fencer?
  20. This music sounds like the Family Guy theme song
  21. So so so many empty seats again..
  22. Exactly. How stupid can one be to throw away a medal like that. Seriously. Freaking idiot.
