    I love the idea of a competition with such different sports, but they could change the show jumping for a non-animal element.. Now you've got 4 things which are yours to control, and a lottery hoping you get a good horse..that's just not fair.

    One wonders what on earth happened to that horse.. I'd be quite unhappy if I was Patrick Dogue, who has to ride this horse next..

    I didn't have anyone individually, I meant when adding everything and all chances together I got to those numbers

    The weird thing is, in my own medal table I had Canada at 18-19 medals, but only 3 of those being in gold It seems that was about correct, though in both gold and total medals Canada performed slightly better than I had realistically expected

    Stefan Groothuis who won the men's 1000m after years and years of ending up exactly next to the prizes, depression, injuries etc

    Exactly. Don't care much which country it is. I remember the speed skating at the 2014 Olympics: we completely shattered the competition winning basically everything, but maybe just one of those gold medals made me think more than "oh, cool"

    Yes, that indeed deserves some huge, huge complaints with the Russian authorities/sports federations and so on, who royally screwed over their own athletes by getting themselves banned I'm patiently waiting for Isinbayeva to start getting angry at the people who robbed her of her chance to compete at another Olympics: her own sports federation and authorities.

    Or merely a move to try and see whether a DQ would be overturned, like which has happened before in all kinds of events with all kinds of nations I'm not a USA fan, but dear lord, not everything is one big bad attempt to a conspiracy/influence judges by Americans
