  1. I honestly have no idea, I just went to fis-ski.com and looked for currently active Slovak ski jumpers, resulting in 3 young girls with her having the best results
  2. I had totally forgotten that besides Asian Winter Games and Winter Universiade we have this too, woohoooo more time to spot talents and young biathletes and everything And wait...a Slovak ski jumper? Viktoria Sidlova?
  3. Pretty awesome to see Federer back in the Melbourne final after 7 years
  4. Last Winter Universiade we had 7 athletes....not very much a coincidence that that was the Universiade with no speed skating Now we have 7 in other sports and 13 in speed skating Like usual though, we're not exactly strong in university sports, even in speed skating. Even from watching national championships on TV, I only know Bart Vreugdenhil, who was 18th at the Dutch Allround Championships last weekend (and that's without at least 2-3 skaters who would easily have been ahead of that). Gerritsen was 17th there. Van Oosten was 7th in the Dutch Sprint Championships last weekend where most top athletes were participating, so he might be able to do something good....although the presence of Roman Krech is making gold nearly impossible and I guess the Polish will have some strong names as well.
  5. NETHERLANDS Speed skating Men Ronald Ligtenberg Olof Gerritsen Martijn van Oosten Bart Vreugdenhil Tom Kant Gerwin Coljé Joep Kalverdijk Women Annemarie Boer Aveline Hylkem Ariane Smit Dione Voskamp Sanne Westerveld Willemijn Cnossen Figure skating Men Thomas Kennes Michel Tsiba Alpine skiing Men Maarten Meiners Olaf Borsboom Snowboarding Men Bart Falhaber Women Dana Albers Yvette Heijt
  6. Three days and three hours until the opening ceremony and not even a sign of any athletes' profiles or any sort of somewhat detailed information on the official website...this is getting rather shameful...
  7. Well, this has made my day and in fact, my biathlon season
  8. Ha! Did everyone see that finish where they took a lot of time showing Bruna including her name and everything? She looked happy with the attention
  9. DNF for Kosarac , come on, Bruna was beating her
  10. Yeaaah Bruna, that's more like it!
  11. 3 misses Come on, forget that and focus on the other two shooting bouts.
  12. Tandrevold behind her, nice
  13. One miss, that's ok! And it looked like she took her time, which I told her to do around 150 times in the past 20 hours
  14. They did show Kozica shooting, so that's pretty cool
  15. Spotted Bruna in the background doing her warm-up Also nice to see the likes of Anika Kozica Maida Drndic and Vicky Padial at the start
  16. The women have started! "I am not nervous, I am not nervous, I am not nervous", maybe if I tell myself that enough times, I will start believing it
  17. Participating nations at the IBU Junior Cup in Pokljuka this week: More nations with women than with men, interesting
  18. Slepov on his way to 3rd or 4th, that's like the 7th Russian in the top-5
  19. Oh yeah, you're right
  20. Crnkovic missed all first 10 shots.. Edit: Wow, he magically hit 4 in the third shooting!
  21. Loginov's last shooting bout was a good bit of rapid fire
  22. Dutch commentator: "If there was no shooting, Iliev would be the fastest today. But yeah, if biathlon was only cross-country skiing, it would be called cross-country skiing."
  23. Yep and I can't really blame them...I mean, the AO probably attracts a larger audience for the big matches and they do have the Eurosport Player
  24. Just for your info: Eurosport 2 is showing the men's race today, 'Eurosport 1' is showing the women's race. Or at least that's how it's in the Netherlands
