  1. Albert Uderzo has died. He was 92 years old. He was the illustrator of Astérix & Obélix, the last giant of the franco-belgian comic book industry.
  2. They will sell the exact same game at full price next year and called Tokyo 2021. Nintendo
  3. They are the only numbers that deserve consideration.
  4. Our health minister just said he didn't wish that french athletes to be sent to Tokyo https://www.ouest-france.fr/jeux-olympiques/coronavirus-le-ministre-de-la-sante-ne-souhaite-pas-envoyer-d-athletes-francais-aux-jo-2020-6788430 Obviously, he is not the one calling the shots, but i'd be surprised if this doesn't become an official statement from the french gouvernement very soon.
  5. Yeah, well, let's just say she won't be missed by many french biathlon fans.... The poor girl apparently just realized that being a professional athlete was about achieving results and not only about her own little pleasure on the tracks.
  6. Celia Aymonier is retiring. Celia who ? Yes, exactly.
  7. How is it even possible that you didn't know that
  8. Arnaud Boetsch vs. Nicklas Kulti, the 5th match of the 1996 Davis Cup final. The only time, a davis cup went to the 5th set of the last match. My biggest sport emotion ever
  9. At this point, I really can't see how Tokyo could host the Olympics before a vaccine is found....
  10. That what worries me the most, the rate of daily new cases in Italy has been slighty on the rise for the last two days (from +13% to +15%). How is that possible ? Could it simply be data fuckery ?
  11. There are a lot of talks here in France about the Chloroquine which may be used a a cure. Professor Raoult just confirmed early succes in Marseille (on a limited test pool of 24 patients) Unfortunately, there is just one minor - physical - problem with him
  12. I don't think that will be much of a problem. Two years are more than enough for the qualifications. They will just start right after Tokyo.
  13. They don't have much option. Or to have to built a fucking long Berlin Wall
  14. With half the globe going for the herd thing, it kinda means that the other half is fucked (and that there will be no #Tokyo2020 also)
  15. Not totally, most business will not close down, and people who can't work at home are still excepted to turn in tomorrow at work. Most public transport are still on (albeit on limited capacity), etc. And most important thing, we still can walk our dogs out. I've just ordered a plastic one from Amazon. Hope it will works ok with the cops
  16. So the World Games of the World Games.
  17. Every bars, restaurants, cafés are closing at midnight. We are basicaly at total lockdown -1
  18. The game would never have been played anyway as everything in on a halt in France for the moment.
  19. Super League (professional rugby league competition) is still on as of tonight. Crowds as well.
  20. It seems obvious to me that the the qualification period will be backdated (if that word exists)
  21. But new cases recorded a new relative low (+16.9% from yesterday), which is very much what we should be looking at.
  22. We are talking about may now. Next in line is Roland Garros. 'Fun' Fact : the french tennis federation makes 85% of its revenues from RG.
