  1. I think there is a slightly bigger bomb here
  2. lol... https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1104615/ioc-set-to-choose-queensland-for-2032#
  3. Fist WC selection for Lou Jeanmonnot (22 yo, ) https://www.nordicmag.info/biathlon-lou-jeanmonnot-selectionnee-pour-nove-mesto-0224/
  4. Thank you for your great insight @hckošice I was also surprised by how cheerfull the crowd was during that last game, cheering for a nation that didn't exist anymore. Not so many slovak flags in the stands neither...
  5. A bit OT, but I was wondering what was the last team or athlete that have represented Czechoslovakia in an official competition ? I've just learnt that the football team has represented the defunct nation under the name 'Representation of Czechs and Slovaks' up to late 1993 (1994 WC qualification) The last home game of RCS in your hometown

  7. Don't you think there is something very, very wrong right there ? ...
  8. Something, a silver medal team at the last olympics would never dare to do I'm sure. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.
  9. It goes a bit more deep than that Most of this terms are still used today I believe. http://www.sabrquebec.org/vocabulaire/ (english version at the bottom)
  10. @Makedonas etc I need some Greek help, on which channel the game is broadcasted ? Edit: EPT3
  11. No, it's not really that, it's about surveys institute asking useless questions to people who most likely will not have a clue and/or are not interested by the question to begin with so that they have something to sell to newspapers. It's how their business works. We had a similar irrelevant survey in France a few weeks ago http://www.odoxa.fr/sondage/60-francais-souhaitent-jeux-de-tokyo-naient-lieu/
  12. I dont think France ever beat in modern times a team the strength of Romania with such a score. I won't say we stand a chance tomorrow because we don't, but maybe Greece will have a more stressful match than anticipated
  13. Let's imagine the result with a team that would have actually compete for a medal
  14. Speaking of french relay selection, Guigonnat will start tomorrow the mixed relay with Simon.
  15. FIS had it the wrong way. It's ok to try new 'young' events to reach a bigger audience just like IBU did with great success. But for that to be successful, you need very easily untestable rules that don't take 5 minutes to get your head around. Mass Start in biathlon have been successful because it was fresh and exciting, but also because it could be understood instinctively by anyone. With that shit, FIS just confuse everyone, doesn't reach a new public and make angry his old and faithful base.
  16. (or at least drop the point system)
  17. The rule doesn't apply in gold or bronze finals (something, probably no one knew before the event, including Liensberger)
  18. Jeez, just give us the olympic gold medal allready.
  19. Don't know how posting articles from weeks or months ago is of any help ?... Anyway, for the games to be cancelled, someone must have an interest to cancel them. The IOC, the organizing committee, the japanese state, the world of sport at large, TV they all need the game to happen whatever the difficulties might be. It's gonna be ugly, it will be very unfair for many athletes (see boxers as an early exemple), but Tokyo 2020 will happen.
  20. That's the kind of shit that makes me almost wish the Olympics to be cancelled...
  21. That's fucking ridiculous. So, I'm guessing we are now making new rules as the event goes. Fantastic. I propose that Meillard to be awarded a gold medal also just because he sounds like a very nice guy.
  22. Starting the slalom in straight order made it even more appaling. Having the slalom in no reverse order might not be a bad idea, but you then need to have speed specialists in front, so you really, really need a downhill first. This was garbage
