IMPORTANT! Final decisions by the IOC are in the FIRST post of the topic. ------------------- 1. This list contains AIN`s atheltes with russian passports which "qualified" for Paris - 2024. (Belorussians are not included yet) 2. As well as possible reallocation and the reason to reallocate quota. 3. I have created this separate thread ( @pluto asked it) to keep all the information together because now it is spread over different sports and must not be mixed with the general war-supporters thread. Here we have only the persons whose profiles will be evaluated by the IOC as a single institution to decide their fate. 4. The reasons of reallocation were taken from the official documents prepared by Ukraine for the IOC. update 01.06.24 - Bach ensured Ukraine that all these facts will be taken into consideration - the most recent quote on this from Olena Hovorova (Olympic medallist, now advisor of the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine) - 25.05.24 https://www.facebook.com/olenagovorovakyiv/posts/122149886438205596?ref=embed_post (Earlier - Olha Saladukha (London bronze medallist and deputy of Ukrainian parliament) . Since quota distribution and reallocation are the processes of great interest everyone will be able to evaluate possibility of reallocation of the certain quota. Please, feel free to correct possible reallocations. The list to be ammended with new data to come. People in bold are 99% likely to be removed from the games, in my oppinion. I do not want to create unnecessary expectations with thsese possible reallocations. We know that Bach can decide it his way. But of course, each NOC should defend its athletes and their chances to go to the Olympics. Update 06.06.24. Judo Russians announced their squad for the Olympic games in Paris including 12 people. Official update according to the IOC statement on the 15th of June https://olympics.com/ioc/paris-2024-individual-neutral-athletes Short notes from the IOC statement: 1. Decisions to reject quotas are final. 2. Decisions to approve quotas are not final - new facts may lead to the rejection of invitation. 3. Decisions cannot be appealed - NOCs were not invited to the Games, so it is a good will to invite individual athletes... or not 4. Unused quotas will be reallocated to another NOCs (not to be sunstituted by another AINs). Empty lines in the IOC Decision column means no decision yet. Reallocation to another NOC means that IF has to reallocate this quota to another NOC (not AIN) according to the IOC decision. The most probable reallocation is mentioned in the table. Sprint Canoeing ECA European Olympic Qualifier 2024
avlar replied to Totallympics's topic in Canoeing - Sprint
Yes those were not allowed to compete. Those who "qualified" will sent to the IOC by the international federations. And the IOC`s commission will decide the fate of every single person. There are a lot of them. If you are interested in I will create a list of athletes with possible reallocations. -
Some "subtotal" for performance 5 athletes proceed to the final 2 days. 1 will have 2 chances to get license. We are doing much better. "Return of the King" Sosnovsky (the coach of that famous 2011-2012 team) was a good decision but too late to get more. Even with all the problems we could have 7 atheltes in 2 final days: + Zamotayev (he was very good yesterday against Quiroga but today his right eye was closed since the first round after a heads-hit - he managed to get 2:2 at the scorecards but lost on a margin) + Zakhareev (robbery which... cannot be appealed. The story continues - it turned out that the IOC as the organizer did not bother itself to establish appeal procedure. Anyway the tournament continued and the quotas here will be distributed, so the only way - to prove that the rights of athletes were violated because of the absence of the proper appeal procedure. We will see) Abduraimov - in the SF - according to Sosnovsky - he is the next big star, and I trust him. He impressed here and could be a medal contender in Paris... if he gets license. Lovchynsky - still in the competition but with low chances. The same for Molochko - I am afraid. Kob - you may not be aware of the fact, that the coaches decided to send another athlete. Kob wrote about this intention in social networks claiming that she won direct bout with that alternate. After that she was returned to the squad. And did very well in the first bout against very strong opponent. Still on the road. Kovalchuk - won against Ferchichi but her real power is still unknown. I am not sure if she will be able to win the next bout.

Sprint Canoeing ECA European Olympic Qualifier 2024
avlar replied to Totallympics's topic in Canoeing - Sprint
According to the recent communication form our deputy Olena Hovorova - Bach ensured her, that all the proofs provided by Ukraine will be taken into account. Several athletes like Sadulaev, Uguev, Batsarashkina were ruled out. More to follow. In judo this process will take place later since their dedaline is one of the latest. -

Sprint Canoeing ECA European Olympic Qualifier 2024
avlar replied to Totallympics's topic in Canoeing - Sprint
According to the rules of ICF country can get only 2 athlete quotas at the continental qualifier fro Men`s Canoe (as well as Women`s canoe and e.t.c.). Thus despite of the fact that they "won" C1 and C2 quotas they cannot get all 3 athelet quotas. That is absolutely for sure and confirmed by the ICF. So, they should decide - to get C1 or C2 (by the way in Paris C2 members may both start in C1). The other boat will be reallocated to the next country at the European qualifier. That is definitely will happen. *** Then. ICF has its own strange rules and do not consider C2 as a "team". But this rules are only applied to the ICF competitions. The IOC has its own rules and clearly stated that russians will participate as AINs - Individual Neutral Athletes. Thus the IOC has no reasons to allow C2 to compete and according to the logic of its own rules must reallocate this quota. But! That is Bach and he can do what he wants. So we have to wait for a word from the IOC. P.S. It is notable, that European qualifier took place many days ago but the ICF have not update quotas list yet. -

Yes, Parma was really strong and won a trpophy against Antwerpen. I think, that the cornerstone of that good old football was the rule, that no more than 3 foreign players can be at the field at the same time in one team. That made more teams really competitive. -

I liked that Fiorentina squad - with Batistuta and Rui Costa. That was one of my favorite teams in Serie A. But they did not win the title too ((( -
Yes, that`s why I wrote that I am not satisfied with text. Our federation is simply in chaos last years. @dodge I would like to apologize to Irish friends for that incorrect statements in the appeal. They should focus on the actions of referee and on the scores given by judges but not on the opponent. Of course the IOC has got enough from boxing recently, but my main hope (not a huge one) - they will revise referee`s actions.
-
So the appeal officially filed. I must say I am not satisfied with the text of the appeal. They mixed a lot here and some parts of the text are too emotional for the official document as well as some allegations. But in general it shows the strategy: it is unlikely to change the scores from judges, but it is more likely to overturn referee`s decisions. The chances are low but bigger than zero.

My congratulations! Greece had a long way to this victory! (I best remember that chance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xC-2OZ7q9OM) It must be a holiday for a whole country today! -
Great job - doing so detailed analysis. Lovchynsy won / Khartsyz lost - that were that 50/50 bouts. No problem with that. Your point about styles stresses the most fundumental problem of amateur boxing - no clear clriteria for scores. That makes nonsense of this sport - since any unfair decision can be justified easily. I strongly believe this decision is unfair. But it is obvious and normal that we cannot agree on this. About W54. I do not think Kovalchuk is good enough right now. And I will not be satisfied if our girl will get win not because of her merits but as a compensation of Zakhareev` lost. We have seen it many times - when one injustice is beeing fixed with another injustice. As it was in London 2012 - when Khytrov was robbed to get medal for hosts and then Vastin was robbed to give us another medal instead of Khytov`s one. I hate this way of doing business by International Federations. So I prefer us winning appeal (i do kot know if any other appeals were filed at all) - but not getting that ugly "compensations". I understand that the chances are low, but we have that experience with Lomachenko and may be some ref`s decisions can be revised or something else. Anyway, that is good that the next bout in that weight is not tomorrow.
-
Yes, I agree on the statement judges. By the way, what are the rules of the appeals at this tournament? It is organized by the IOC not World Boxing or AIBA. As far as I remember earlier the scores from judges could not be appealed. But the actions of referee could be appealed. At the OG-2008 qualifying tournament (WCH) we used that rule to reinstate Lomachenko. He "lost" at the early stage, but was reinstated and won the tournament. I am asking because our NOC is preparing an appeal to revise the bout - it is official information. By the way the scores: and by round by judge J1 - 9:10 - 10:9 - 10:9 J2 - 9:10 - 10:9 - 9:10 J3 - 10:9 - 9:10 - 10:9 J4 - 10:9 - 10:9 - 9:10 J5 - 9:10 - 9:10 - 9:10

Did you watch Walsh - Zakhareev? (By the way, I do not think angles were so important there). Our federation did all they can to broadcast all the bouts of our boxers, but that bout we have from another source.

Finaly a quota for us . Congratulations for And I think is safe via rankings too. We have 6 quoats - exactly the same number as for 2020. And again no shotgun for men and air rifle for women. -
Thank you for watching video and writing this. I appreciate your evaluation and remark on styles. And of course, scoring system is awfull. Of course we are biased, and you see close bout and I see clear robbery with Zakhareev. @Fly_like_a_don as a neutral specatator says Zakhareev won all three rounds.
-
We got it, no problem ) I was trying to be funny too and created that screenshot of your complaining ) If I complain every time when our boxer lose website would require a new harddisk to save all that posts )) It is not a problem to be funny when your boxer loses because he is just worse than the opponent, but when he was not worse it is another case.

By the Way IOC killed IBA. National federations who will not leave IBA must be excluded by the NOCs.
