well, actually you have a decent basketball coverage (even if it's not on your public TV channels)... right now, a few NBA games/week and many Champions League matches are shown on Nova Sport channels, and the new JOJ Sport channel regularly covers both the Spanish Liga Endesa and the regional league where the main Slovak teams play... that's not the absolute 0 that Italian Hockey fans have on our tv channel, for instance (just to compare 2 sports which are not really popular in our respective Countries)...

I really like the Finnish blue jersey (and the model, too) but also the US dark blue jersey is a good one... so far, the white jerseys can't keep the pace with the dark ones (except for the Czech jersey, which is awesome in both versions)...

I hope to be wrong... I like shooting sport and I'd be very unhappy if their flagship events lose interest because of some stupid rules (and however, I think that the direct spots would attract always the best shooters yet to qualify, meanwhile a ranking-based quota place distribution could still push some athletes to make calculations and choose one event rather than another or rather than trying to get a spot each and every time)...

COVID-19 COMMITTEE DECISION: LUKKO RAUMA – HC BOLZANO After the cancellation of the Round of 16 Return Game between Lukko Rauma and HC Bolzano, the CHL’s Covid-19 committee has consulted on the case and decided on the resolution: "For the affected Round of 16 matchup only the result of the first game will be taken into consideration. Since Lukko Rauma won the game 3-1, the Finnish team will advance to the Quarter-Finals." For clarification: Due to the tight international calendar there are no additional Game Days available in the CHL to make up postponed games as is the usual procedure in national leagues. The Round of 16 Return Game between Lukko Rauma and HC Bolzano was originally scheduled for Wednesday evening and has been cancelled as a precautionary measure set by Finnish authorities as a number of team members of Lukko Rauma are unable to participate due to the Covid-19 protocol.

it would be a real shame... olympic quota places up for grabs was one of the things that made the world cup stages more exciting (and granted them a true full participation, now there's a high chance to see many WC stages with loughable participation, especially those held in exotic and/or uncomfortable locations)...

on the Italian press, they say that's only the first allocation, but the next ISSF board would eventually explain also how quota places will be awarded at world cup events (they are sure it won't change much from the Tokyo system, barring the fewer spots available -it might be that there will be some earlier world cup events giving only 1 quota place available and some late world cup stages awarding 2 quota places...even fewer continental spots available are not out of order yet)... in any case, it all will be known next year...

I've seen a lot more attractive jerseys for Canada... meanwhile I like the "back to classic style/emblem" of the Czechs...

First (and to me, very important) news... this season we will NOT have a 1-Nation affair in the big Final...
