  1. Malanga lost to a random guy... we won't improve our total number of fighters after this tournament, as expected surely our best boxers were already qualified, but still we have to regret that infamous robbery at the 2023 European Games, where Federico Serra was denied by a bunch of clearly corrupted judges, who actually destroyed his career, as he has never been the same fighter after that day
  2. actually Godwin needs that both Rampula and Horodynets get Today's OQPs, because those 2 and Spinella are already beyond reach for him in the OQR oh, yes already have one OQP, therefore if they get 1 Today, they're done which means that in the OQR only Rampula and Spinella are way ahead of Godwin so, are basically sure to get at least 1 spot, either Today or via OQR... and are also in very good position to earn a spot, given that all those ahead of him in the OQR and still eligible are going to take 2 spots Today and only 1 via OQR
  3. I think with this one, Rampula sealed the deal...even if he doesn't get the direct spot, he's safe to get the OQR nominative OQP Horodynets is also in very, very good position for the same reason, if he doesn't get Today's direct OQP, he's safe in 2nd place in the OQR Massimo Spinella now has to hope that at least one between Rampula and Horodynets gets Today's OQT, as he's gonna be only the 3rd best among those 3 at the end of the day
  4. men's Individual 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Shooters qualified to the Final Christian Reitz Matej Rampula () Oliver Geis Maksym Horodynets () Riccardo Mazzetti () Volodymyr Pasternak () () = still eligible for an OQP

  9. it should be...in Tokyo they used the OQR however, there are still 3 Continental Open tournaments that might change the ranking slightly... my analysis was just based on Yesterday's ranking, it's not the definitive one
  10. it doesn't matter nobody can earn an OQP twice once you got it, you can enter as many events as you want (actually, you're selected for), provided you have the MQS so, @Jan Linha is right today's quota places go to (BLR) and
  11. the advantage of being WR no.1... in the women's -48kg class, Scutto has to face the winner of Tsunoda vs Boukhli already in the semis (not to mention that the Japanese and the French girl have to face each other already in the quarterfinals) in the women's -52kg, Uta Abe is not among the seeded players (top 8) good luck to any other girl for the draw in the women's -57kg, vs Funakubo in the quarters and then Deguchi in the semis...draw really unbalanced the big duel vs is gonna happen quite a few times in the quarterfinals in the women's -78kg, Wagner and Takayama in the same quarter and in the opposite half of Bellandi...that's good, very good for us in the women's +78kg, Dicko and Tomita on the opposite side of the draw...unfortunately Tavano is 8th and will get the French super-woman in the quarterfinals (however, she already beat Dicko at last year's world champs...who knows?) in the men's -60kg, vs and vs in the same half of the draw...good for those on the opposite side in the men's -66kg (RUS) Murad Chopanov is the last qualified athlete...he's just another mega-danger in draw in the men's -73kg, Hashimoto and Shavdatuashvili are also in the same quarterfinal pool in the men's -81kg, Casse vs Nagase is the most fascinating quarterfinal on paper in the men's -90kg, the idiot Parlati will pay a very big prize to his attitude...he's gone down to 8th place (by the misery of 8 points) and now he's in the same quarterfinal pool with Bekauri...let's see if another wasted Olympic tournament will be useful by 2028 in the men's super-Heavyweights, Riner is in the same quarter with Tasoev and semi with Saito...he's gonna have to win gold way before the final match and the Olympic Champion Krpalek is not among the seeded players...the draw might make things very, very interesting
  12. given that in Tokyo the only competitive shooter (rifle and pistol) was Ceccarello (who committed a sport suicide in the last 10 shots of the 10m air rifle qualification and that was the end of a brilliant career that just started), I'm OK with Sollazzo and Monna having a chance to come home with a medal (more Sollazzo than Monna, tbh) and who cares of the other tourists? in shotgun shooting we have to make up for the Tokyo disaster (that was even bitter because it came after Rio's triumph), but I have a bad feeling right now I think only Bacosi is 100% reliable at the moment...hope we don't end up like in Tokyo, it would be unacceptable
