  1. no, the final features 4 sailors, he might still end up with some wood however, yes, he only need 1 win win, while the other 3 sailors need 2 wins then, it's about more wins and, if still tied, the actual placing in the last race to determine silver and bronze
  2. Tomorrow's the final day of the competition Medal series start at 11.15 a.m. CET and will be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/@kiteclasses after the Fleet Races, in the men's division Riccardo Pianosi is the leader in the standings and goes straight to the Final (needing only 1 win for the title) together with Max Maeder (needing 2 wins for gold, like the sailors coming for the semifinal round) Gian Stragiotti and Toni Vodisek are already qualified to the semifinal round, meanwhile Benoit Gomez, Vojtech Koska, Jan Marciniak and Jan Matthis Voester will start the day from the quarterfinals in the women's division, Jessie Kampman and Lauriane Nolot are already in the Final, Elena Lengwiler and Lily Young are qualified to the semifinal round and Breiana Whitehead, Ellie Aldridge, Daniela Moroz and Derin Atakan will start their campaign from the quarterfinals
  3. Alpine Skiing, men and women's GS: Ingemar Stenmark and Deborah Compagnoni, to me still the greatest GS specialists of all time (with all respect for the many other great skiers that won at least 1 GS Olympic Gold) Short Track Speedskating, men's 500m: Wu Daijing, to me the only true specialist of this distance to win the Olympic Gold, as people like Hamelin or Ohno were more all rounders, even middle/long distance specialists than pure sprinters. the Chinese man represents more the "wow" effect of this specific event Ski Jumping, men's Normal Hill: Matti Nykaenen, the GOAT of ski jumping. if only he had the attitude, we'd be still here saying his records will never be broken...and instead
  5. he's more than outdated, he's boiled the problem is that he's also the director of sport operations of the club, so he should fire himself
  6. because they should have their own Olympics, but the deal between IOC and the various e-sports associations is far from being sealed (our former fencing olympic champion 1976 maybe was a bit optimistic about that)
  8. tbh, if they add the cross-country race (or even if they replace the 10km on the track with cc race) to the Summer Olympics, I've nothing against it it's the "classic" races and field events outside the stadium that I'm totally against not to mention the farce of judo/any other indoor discipline switching to the Winter Games...I don't even want to comment such stupid possibility
  9. how to kill the Olympic Games once and forever
  10. watched both Olimpia Milano's games this week: my liver is already in trouble after last night
  11. by the way, what a championship for Zwolinska
  12. championship to forget as soon as possible for Italy only 1 (very disappointing) individual finalist, women almost non existing (and no young talents coming, which is even worse than a random bad year) those who looked so good in the youth classes in the past years just haven't developed into even decent seniors
  13. San Siro stadium is 100 years old and it's feeling them all there are a lot of things that are not compliant anymore with a modern stadium, but, above all, there's a big structural problem that leads to keep part of the third ring closed and makes the entire stadium vibe during concerts and sport events with a sellout crowd it's time to build a new stadium (actually, a serious city council would force both Milan and Inter to have their own stadium, not just one shared between the 2 clubs) however, we all fear that the new stadium will be a shitty building, born dead and not a modern state-of-the-art infrastructure like the newest US stadiums
  14. @hckošice Slovensko uber alles! 🤣 https://x.com/khl_eng/status/1973412327786439037?t=xSlzCLOah-JvpQdpTx7mOQ&s=19
  15. hey, it's him, not me! if he decided to go there, he knows why he did it personally, I wouldn't go there even for all the gold in the world, but it's me...have to accept people's decisions, especially if they don't involve you, personally about investments, I already told you...Italy is a dead Country/market...there's no real return on this kind of investments sport here is good only for some low profile money laundering if you really have a lot of money, better hide it in an off-shore account
  16. there's nothing strange, it's just a life-changing cheque at the end of every month ps the Russian league isn't weak at all, especially the men's
  17. ma figurati! e mancano ancora canoa slalom, tiro a segno e a volo, kite e windsurf, ciclismo su pista, beach volley, taekwondo, pesi...
  20. sure! many free tv around Europe have an extensive coverage of this race and of all the main cycling races through the year actually, also the junior, sub-23 and senior women's events have had hours of broadcast in many parts of Europe road cycling is still a big thing
  23. yeah, Team Olympic sports should keep the 4-year span format, staying in the middle of an Olympic cycle it would increase the hype for sure
