  1. Solution, make slalom indoors or make mass start slalom (with athletes starting after their deficits - how exciting would that be!).
  2. Ah yes, I forgot about that one.
  3. They are better in slalom so they should be faster regardless. And they are more used to skiing on chopped up courses, they do it on every slalom. Every time when conditions like today's occur some slalom specialist, and "weekend downhiller", wins. Downhillers are chanceless.
  4. Oh come on, that's like saying Phelps is the best Olympian of all time (scoreboard journalism)
  5. Once again men's alpine skiing proves to be the most conditions/weather dependent sport. And thus the most unfair. I think the solution is that the best placed downhillers should start first, they are not good in slalom anyway...
  6. My early prediction was correct So, if Zubčić didn't screw up his downhill in the bottom part then Aerni wouldn't win as he wouldn't start first.
  7. In normal slalom Theaux and Baumann would have a chance with these advantages...
  8. Paris was way better than Janka
  9. Don't forget that Hirscher lost 0.45 in the bottom. That's at least what's gonna be required.
  10. Caviezel Maybe the course is recovering
  11. Nah, Aerni was crazy fast in all parts, except between 2nd and 3rd split. On other splits everyone is losing at least 0.5 seconds.
  12. Gold for Aerni I can't wait for the second run in slalom with these conditions.
  13. Everyone is losing 1 second before the first split. I'd say it's gold for Aerni 99%
  14. Lol, looks like Rubie can do a great slalom only when he needs to kick Croatian skier out of top 30. In any case, A LOT of time can be lost on this course. I am actually predicting a medal for Aerni, maybe even gold.
  15. Even Joan Verdu finished in front of Hirscher. Although, he is not a complete no name, he was a bronze medalist in super-G at the 2012 YOG. But then again, the gold medalist in that event, Lamhamedi, is nowhere to be seen these days.
  16. So Hirscher finished almost outside of top 30, it's a shame.
  17. Faarup gets the same time as von Appen
  18. Henrik von Appen half a second faster than Hirscher.
  19. Don't count out Brennan Rubie after this run.
  20. Celine Marti completes the 1st run.
  21. It's incredible how consistent skiers from smaller nations can be
  22. Zampa 8.42 behind
  23. Fill DNF What an incredibly bad championships for Italy.
