  1. And his previous best major result in many championships was 9th place.
  2. Hooray, finally something from higher numbers.
  3. Well, at least he has two medals. So it's not exactly like a random outcome as with Patrick Staudacher, Gauthier de Tessieress, etc.
  4. Talk about jinxing someone.
  5. However, even if he makes 140 pts it's unlikely that he will make it, since Mexico has a young skier well within 100 pts. But I don't think that would trouble him. I believe he returned to skiing because there was a trend about having fewer and fewer exotic nations around.
  6. Don't forget the cliche attitude: "I don't care if I have broken ribs, I'm gonna tough it out".
  7. Here are some cool facts. Schmidhofer and Weirather also finished 1st and 2nd in Super-G at the 2007 World Junior Championships. This is the first medal for Liechtenstein since 1999!
  8. No, you added and , they never participated.
  9. I was thinking about it too, but then I remembered that it happened during the final day of the African taekwondo Olympic QT, which we all followed here. And apparently that took place at 7th of February.
  10. Exactly one year has passed since old Totallympics crashed.
  11. Lara Gut apparently doesn't want to stand beside Schmidhofer and Weirather...
  12. Disappointing race to be honest. It's obvious that this is certainly not the fastest time that can be achieved. And yet she is a probable winner.
  13. And kicking out Goggia out of top 6.
  14. Alpine skiing is definitely a front runner (or one of the front runners). Do you know who Patrick Staudacher for example is?
  15. Talk about a no name leader. Only one podium in super-g... From 2013...
  16. Tina and Elena
  17. How on earth was Elena Curtoni faster than anyone by 0.3 seconds after 3 seconds...
  18. Unnecessarily reckless event like ski cross causes serious falls/injuries. Nobody saw that one coming.
  19. She competed at WC this season, so I guess it's only a major championship debut.
  20. I don't think that FIS has ever published an entry list for anything.
  21. Kazakh slips on corner just before the split time and loses 1 second. Commentator says: "That's heartbreaking, he worked so hard to be on level with the Russian" I guess he never commentated XC skiing before...
  22. Men's relay commentator saying: "Russia having a big advantage over Kazakhstan after two legs, almost 8 seconds" After a minute or two camera shows Russian and Kazakh together. "That's a super human effort by Kazakh"
  23. TEAM CROATIA For FIS World Championships in Sankt Moritz (SUI 6-19.02.2017) Men Elias KOLEGA (Giant Slalom, Slalom, Team) Samuel KOLEGA (Giant Slalom) Ivica KOSTELIĆ (Slalom) Istok RODEŠ (Slalom, Team?) Max ULLRICH (Downhill, Super-G, Alpine Combined) Matej VIDOVIĆ (Slalom, Team?) William VUKELIĆ (Giant Slalom) Filip ZUBČIĆ (Super-G, Alpine Combined?, Giant Slalom, Team) Women Andrea KOMŠIĆ (Giant Slalom, Slalom, Team) Leona POPOVIĆ (Super-G, Alpine Combined, Giant Slalom, Slalom, Team) Ida ŠTIMAC (Giant Slalom, Slalom, Team) Lana ZBAŠNIK (Giant Slalom) One top 15 result would be amazing.
  24. No they played with 5 players instead of 3... But still...
  25. This looks like a painful defeat.
