    I hate to say it, but Liendo looked sluggish as well, both in the 50 butterfly and the relay. Hoping he can rebound later this week, it's such an opportunity not having Dressel or Milak there.

    What was the other option? I think they expected Summer to be on fire at the meet.

    Harvey goes 2 seconds slower in the semis of the 200 IM than her heats time. She could have gone a second slower and still made it easily to the final. Not a good start for Canada thus far.

    4th is just where Canadians belong. We need to stop expecting anything else. Summer truly is fitting right in with the Canadian team.

    I expected her to put up a fight. I'm not trying to go at her personally, she's 16 and I'm sitting in my livingroom. But as a Canadian sports fan you just learn to live with the disappointments. We get more 4th+5th places than 1st+2nd+3rds every major event. Favourites, underdogs, comebacks, out of nowhere. We just get used to it.

    Summer just trying to fit in with Canadian athletes and finish 4th. Another homegrown disappointment... Probably won't get any golds here. Hopefully can rebound for Paris.

    Welp, Summer doesn't even medal and to add insult to injury, her WR is broken. Did not look good at all, wonder if she'll get any golds here. Or even medals.

    Oh, haha. It is possible we're hearing different things because I remember the male commentator more than the female. In any event, good job to them.

    Yeah, he did a great job. So nice to hear after the attacks in other sports (looking at you beach volleyball). I believe it's Matthew Mitcham doing the diving and he's also doing a great job, even though the coverage is still decidedly very lopsided towards England/Scotland.

    Li put up a good fight, but Pusarla was too strong. It was nice to listen to a match that involved a Canadian and not hear the broadcaster continually shit on the Canadian all game for once, though. GG India.

    Much to the delight of the BBC announcers, Canada loses. Been said before, I don't know what they have against Canada. It makes it that much harder to swallow the loss. Wanted them to eat their words.

    Close match in volleyball. The bigger question is why is the BBC so anti-Canada in every sport? This goes further than just pro-home team. They seem to root against every Canadian in every sport. Weird.

    Amazing first set in NZ CAN volley game. Canada gave it away in the end. But fun to watch anyway.

    Rogers and Weir landed 3 throws and got gold and bronze. Life lesson = it's about showing up when it counts. Rogers lands her last throw, but it doesn't matter.

    The English commentors and even the English divers can't believe the scores they got. This is the point of being home team.

    Canada throws away their medal in their last dive because apparently they can't count.

    Canada gets the last two golds in wrestling! 12/12 with three golds!
