    For those wondering, Summer is the first Canadian to win 2 individual golds at an Olympics since Alex Baumann in 1984, also in swimming. She is the first female Canadian to do it.

    In all fairness Liendo's time here would have easily made the final in Tokyo and been 5th in the final. Yet he was 9th in the semis here.

    Essentially, me too. Woke up just before Sanfords match and got to see the last two sets in fencing. A bit of a lull now for Canada (and yes, I'm including the women's basketball game in that).

    Just catching up here. Our jukodas really didn't show up here (even Deguchi sort of fell ass backwards into her gold). So close for Dunfee, again. Swimmers getting it done. Can we please stop facing the home team every single sport?

    I have to return to work tomorrow morning. I had the last 7 weeks off, the schedule just didn't work for me. I'll likely go to bed very soon and wake up early to catch up on everything before heading off and then try to sneakily watch during meetings and trainings tomorrow. Stupid work!

    Ultimately, it just means they're playing Germany instead of Brazil. They've basically played 3 elimination games in a row, so I wonder how that will affect them moving forward. Maybe it's toughened them up more.
