  1. The North Korean 49kg weightlifter just appear out of nowhere, take the gold and break the WR. I think other categories may also repeat this fantasy. Not sure how IWF and IOC will handle their Olympics qualification. From my point of view, they are not constantly attending requiring tournaments and not being timely monitored doping status. So according to the qualification document, they should not be granted quotas.
  2. CHINA Xu Jun - 29 The sentence repeating in chorus on my own translation is " No answers. Only pieces of shits. Hope you cool as wind, wild as dog, and enjoy the fxxking life". (没有答案,只有硝烟弥漫,愿你酷得像风,野得像狗,扎进灯火阑珊) I think this is the song all about.
  3. Chinese gymnasts in Asian Games will not attend WCH and I think Japan is the same. China send Men's A team(quota achieved before) and Women's B team to Asian Games. And I think Japan send both B teams to Asian Games.
  4. Yes. Amazing result. China did a good job but Korea is just amazing tonight. BTW just in case some of you guys don't know before, male Asian Games champions and Olympic Games medalists will be exempt from compulsory military service about 2 years. So basically male athletes may be more motivated than other countries.
  5. Rumor has it that China officials on purposely reduce some participating events and athletes to release some pressure of organizing committee as it is biggest ever game. China even has lower athletes number than 2014 Asian Games in Korea and lower number than Thailand in this game.
  6. I am in Hangzhou and trying very hard to buy tickets here but still only limited matches successfully bought. I basically watch 1-2 matches on court and rest time I watch cellphone. Every time that I failed I was thinking why there are so many people in China.
  7. The idea is good but the presentation is still lame for me. The effect is likely generated by university student and the fireworks as well.
  8. I am currently in Hangzhou and ready to be a full-time spectator and I will watch rowing tomorrow morning to witnesses the first gold.
  9. is in. I have an entry on my mind but I will wait for a couple of days to see if any fellow Chinese wanna join.
  10. I saw some pages of the myinfo system thanks to press friends. I think the delay mainly due to some undecided schedule like withdrawal of Lebanon men's basketball team and addition of Sri Lanka's men's rugby team. These "open" issues make the system is still half-finished.
  11. Do you think Taylor's successful challenge is correct? The Iranian coach and spectators seemed unsatisfied with the result and I don't have enough wrestling knowledge to make a judgement.
  12. women's 87+kg Li Wenwen screwed and retired. So currently Chinese women's team would be undoubtedly 49kg Jiang Huihua, 71kg Liao Guifang, 81kg Liang Xiaomei.
  13. Is there specific schedule available on website? Like Mat A 101 xx-xx Mar A 102 xx-xx?
  14. The "Results" section is not open for public yet but already open for registered press and it's "reported" by some registered press North Korea has 191 athletes shown on the system at least.
  15. I think they will show up in Paris but they already missed many qualifiers apparently.
  16. For Chinese men's team, they already finished the competition. Judging by current status and results, I think China will send 61kg Li Fabin, 89kg Li Dayin and 102kg Liu Huanhua to Olympics. But only when next year's compulsory World Cup finished, we will know the final choice.
  17. It's reported that North Korea will send a big team to China around 191 athletes (according to press already registered and accessed official myinfo system), even bigger than that of last two Games in Indonesia and South Korea. And China will send 886 athletes at home, smaller than 2014 but almost all best athletes in all sports.
  18. I don't know Shi Zhiyong's status right now. I thought he's already more or less recovered and ready to compete but apparently he is not. Shi is still the 1st guy at 73kg I think as he continuously on the major events' list. Chen Lijun never compete at 73kg before so I still think Wei Yinting is 2nd choice (without gold for sure). Asian Games list Men 61kg: Li Fabin, Ding Hongjie 67kg: Chen Lijun 73kg: Wei Yinting 96kg: Li Dayin, Tian Tao 109kg: Liu Huanhua Women 49kg: Jiang Huihua 55kg: Hou Zhihui 59kg: Luo Shifang 64kg: Pei Xinyi 76kg: Liao Guifang 87kg: Liang Xiaomei +87kg: Li Wenwen
  19. According to the past experience of Tokyo OG, China has internal selection criteria on Asian Championships on OG year. The standard will be very high even higher than World Record. If the champion of the category meet the standard then she will be automatically selected otherwise mainly considering the margin of winning I guess. My personal choice will be 49kg, 81kg and 87kg+ currently.
  20. Men's team list: Sun Wei, Si Cong, You Hao, Liu Yang, Su Weide Women's team list: Ou Yushan, Zhang Qingying, Qiu Qiyuan, Zhou Yaqin, Huang Zhuofan Due to the time conflict with Asian Games at home, China choose not to send full A team to WCH. Some of big names will attend Asian Games like Zhang Boheng and Xiao Ruoteng. As I as I know, some other Asian gymnasts may also attend Asian Games instead of WCH like Calos Yulo and Chusovitina.
  21. My mistake. It should be Denmark. I didn't double check the list and there may be other mistakes.
  22. Men 49er: 🇳🇱🇪🇸🇨🇭🇬🇧🇳🇿🇺🇸🇭🇷🇵🇱🇩🇰🇦🇹 Women 49erFx: 🇸🇪🇳🇱🇦🇺🇧🇪🇺🇸🇳🇿🇬🇧🇳🇴🇪🇸🇫🇮 Nacra 17:🇮🇹🇬🇧🇸🇪🇳🇱🇦🇷🇳🇿🇩🇪🇫🇮🇪🇸 Mixed 470:🇯🇵🇦🇹🇪🇸🇩🇪🇮🇱🇨🇭🇵🇹🇸🇪 All 2-person boat confirmed
