  1. wtf, third quota chance for us? I knew that we can have one chance here, but three in this competitive field with so few Olympic spots? I guess we will likely end with one quota, but I must say that the Hungarian men did a great job at this tournament.
  2. Cirjenics Miklós kvótát szerzett cselgáncsban. Ezzel összesen 7 magyar cselgáncsozó lesz az Olimpián. 3. I tried to calculate the European quotas. There are many ways I could have messed this up, so don't think that this is an official confirmation. w70 - 2915 - #1 female European quota m90 - 2875 - #1 male European quota w70 - 2842 - #2 female European quota m90 - 2837 - #2 male European quota w57 - 2778 - #3 female European quota m73 - 2694 - #3 male European quota m90 - 2518 - #4 male European quota m90 - 2495 - #5 male European quota m81 - 2417 - #6 male European quota m73 - 2339 - #7 male European quota w57 - 2337 - #4 female European quota w78+ - 2326 - #5 female European quota m100 - 2247 - #8 male European quota m100 - 2244 - #9 male European quota m100 - 2190 - #10 male European quota m60 - 2157 - #11 male European quota m73 - 2148 - #12 male European quota m90 - 2103 - #13 male European quota At this point we have reached the limit for male European quotas (13). w57 - 1985 - #6 female European quota w63 - 1872 - #7 female European quota w78+ - 1825 - #8 female European quota w52 - 1786 - #9 female European quota w48 - 1753 - #10 female European quota w63 - 1712 - #11 female European quota w63 - 1688 - #12 female European quota
  4. I have checked the world rankings and I think I haven't made any errors in my previous calculations. Which means that these should be the world quotas. Women's 48kg Men's 60kg Women's 52kg Men's 66kg Women's 57kg Men's 73kg Women's 63kg Men's 81kg Women's 70kg Men's 90kg Women's 78kg Men's 100kg Women's +78kg Men's +100kg
  5. Looking at the lineup, we aren't risking anything, all of our Olympic qualified judokas are skipping this team event. We won't go far into this competition.
  6. They have a separate page for the team event as if it's a different World Championship. https://live.ijf.org/wc_sen_teams2021/overview
  7. Yeah, Gulyás is safe. the second Hungarian spot is between Kovács and Alekszejev. I think we will send the latter, Kovács missed too many event, it's too risky to send her.
  8. The Hungarian Olympic Committee confirmed that Alekszejev also won a quota, which means that we will have to decide between 3 athletes, just like many other countries.
  9. The next best ranked not already qualified athlete after the ones I have mentioned is Alekszejev, which I guess means that we will certainly get one more quota via reallocation. And then we will also have to decide what to do with our 3 athletes, potentially reallocating either a world or European quota. In other words: it's best to just wait until UIMP announces what's going on with the ranking quotas by the end of June.
  10. Btw, the ranking is up: https://www.uipmworld.org/world-ranking/modern-pentathlon/women-senior-olympic-games-ranking-21 Here's what we know (I think): Top8 athletes not already qualified won quotas. Those athletes are... Muir Summers Oliver Sotero Gubaydullina Kohlman Vega Batashova This is good and all, BUT multiple countries went over the 2 athletes limit, just like Belarus. all have 3 quotas and they will have to choose two. The next two highest ranked not already qualified athletes are both European, which should mean that they are 100% safe and will get the quotas via reallocation no matter what. Maliszewska Ozyuksel After this we still got two more quotas up in the air, but it gets messy and we will have to wait to know which quotas will get reallocated, it can go multiple ways, depending on if the countries in question will choose to reallocate their continental quotas or not.
  11. Add those two to the list and have with two TBDs for both the qualification event and the athlete name until the country makes up its mind.
  12. As far as I know that's not correct, it should be the three medalists. "Three (3) quota places will be allocated to the three (3) highest placed athletes at the 2020 UIPM World Championships unless previously qualified in which case the quota place(s) will be allocated to next highest ranked athlete(s) on the UIPM Olympic World Ranking List of 1 June 2020." So it's . But Belarus can't have 3 quotas, so they will have to choose, and one of the quotas will reallocated via the Olympic ranking.
  13. Hm, you are right, I must have missed that part. In that case It's a bit more tricky, but should all be still safe. And then for the rest it can get really messy.
  14. Gulyás Michelle megszerezte a második magyar női kvótát öttusában és Hárspataki Gábor kijutott az Olimpiára karatéban. Rio Tokyo Diff Athletics Marathon/RW 8 2 -6 Badminton 1 2 +1 Boxing 2 1 -1 Canoe Slalom - 1 +1 Canoe Sprint 15 17 +2 Cycling Mountain Bike 1 2 +1 Cycling Road - 1 +1 Diving 1 - -1 Fencing 9 10 +1 Gymnastics Artistic 2 1 -1 Gymnastics Rhythmic - 1 +1 Handball - 14 +14 Karate - 1 +1 Modern Pentathlon 4 3 -1 Rowing 3 1 -2 Sailing 5 4 -1 Shooting 8 4 -4 Swimming Marathon 3 1 -2 Table Tennis 3 5 +2 Taekwondo - 1 +1 Tennis 2 3 +1 Water Polo 26 24 -2 Weightlifting 1 - -1 Wrestling 8 6 -2 102 105 +3 Athletics 11 6 -5 Judo 8 6 -2 Swimming 34 19 -15 Triathlon 4 - -4 159 136 -23
  15. As far as I know all the reallocations happen with the Olympic ranking in mind. Which means that if a country gives up their quota from their continental championship, that quota will be given to the next best eligible athlete on the Olympic ranking, not to the next best at the continental championship. But maybe I am wrong.
  16. I think Hárspataki deserves the quota for that amazing moment alone, but still, fuck the people (not the athletes) who made this farce possible with their stupid system. What a terrible look for karate.
  17. Now let's see if we will see the friendliest 0-0 ever.
  18. I hope TV broadcasters will learn from this, and never choose to show up close what happens in a similar situation, it's disrespectful for everyone. I know that TV directors are inexperienced when it comes to this on a football match, unlike the directors at motorsport races, but they have to learn to not show so much.
  19. So this pretty much means that regardless of the other match and qualifies with a friendly draw.... this fucking system.
  20. What all the drama and craziness that's going on today there's a good chance that I messed up my calculations, so this isn't official. Quotas from the Olympic ranking: With two places remaining for tripartite. If those go to the next two best ranked eligible athletes...
  21. Holy shit, Hárspataki, what a comeback with an ippon! Thankfully I was wrong.
  22. Calling it now, the next 3 men's matches will be 0-0, and then and will fight for the last quota. But I hope I am wrong.
  23. We might be cursed for good in the new Olympic events.
  24. Quota for Prokopenko, but it isn't +1 quota for as they already had 2 quotas. They will have to choose two of the three qualified athletes.
  25. Amazing WCh bronze from Gulyás at such a young age. I hope she can repeat this in Tokyo.
