    In a time trial over a hundred athletes can start. In a mass start, 60 maximum. So they’d be getting rid of all the minor countries.

    Getting rid of it would kill the sport, all the champions would eventually be fast skiers & rubbish shots like Lars Berger & Myriam Gossner. It only takes as much time as a rugby match or an Alpine downhill, less than a ski jumping competition and far less than a cycling stage.

    Just realized - before Tim said so - that his co-com is Rupert Staudinger, Anglo-German luger. He has a very weird accent, on some words he sounds very German, on others completely English.
