  1. I dont know if it was discussed before, but am i the only one not crazy with this format? didnt really think about it until now that we reached the finals, but they basically turned the diamond league into another olympic games or world championships, with several qualifying round and a one and done final. Shouldn't the eventual winner be based on the entire season of achievements, and not just one race? for that we already have Olympic Games and World Championships
  2. Do they put on the Olympic channel all the handball and volleyball matches? Or just medal contests
  3. The Jump? thats what is odd? When Christian taylor won last 2 olympics, worlds and came in within 8 cm of a WR 2 years ago, or womens long jump where brittney reese dominates for quite a while as well, with SB of 7.13 and PB of 7.41! or did you mean the men long jump where we didnt even win gold but did win the gold in Rio. Oh you must've meant pole vault where Sandi Morris and Sam Kendricks won medals in rio already and Kendricks dominates the entire year, yea.... thats odd
  4. This whole NHL thing is a real bummer, 2 past games for me USA hockey was a highlight of the games, the incredible final in vancouver , or the match vs russia in sochi. But with second rate players i will be interested in that probably as much curling..... that sucks, but i guess at least it will allow more time for all the other sports..... hopefully something will change, but not likely.
  5. Why continue though? he wouldn't have gotten the WR..... his personal best is 6.00m, so chance to even get to 6.06 for a new championship record is slim
  6. I'll Hijack my own thread to ask: Do you guys know anywhere that have the full event videos from sochi? i saw mainly highlights on youtube (even though again for vancouver there are still full event videos), i wanna start rewatching some stuff prior to peyongchang
  7. Honestly i didnt event notice Gatlin until They said his name after the finish, i was sure that coleman won, didnt even look down the screen (damn big screen tv! lol) so was happy that USA got gold, where the hell did gatlin even come from, great comeback anyway (by the way would it make anyone happy if coleman would win? since bolt finished 3rd then even if gatlin wasnt there he wouldn't win the gold)
  8. Yes I was singing the star spangled banner while they were running
  9. Yessssss!!!!! we prevented him not only to get the gold but also the silver! Good for Gatlin and Coleman who i met in Eugene
  10. Who do you think might light the cauldron in 2028? I really think that it should be either Kobe Bryant or Magic Johnson Also this probably will be the best chance to convince MLB to let professionals play in the Olympics (especially that baseball will be in Dodger Stadium and Softball will be in Angel Stadium) Lastly it made me think what kind of new sports might show up when the games come to Los Angeles Lacross? American Football? Nascar? Competitive Eating?
  11. No Matter what it will be 4 years after the reign of Trump! LOL at most he can rule the 50 kingdoms until 2024
  12. Can someone clarify something for me? how are they choosing the host? china are playing at home throughout the tournament!! China, Macau, Hong Kong, and the finals in china, how is that fair?
  13. YES YES YES YES YES! so we didnt win the vote, but i dont care, because in 2028 THE OLYMPICS ARE IN MY HOME TOWN!!!! i will be probably living in my car for the entire time, but my kids will be even old enough to take in this amazing experience with me, this is so exciting beyond words!
  14. I Loved London 2012 game, Beach Volleyball, Archery, Diving, cycling, Rowing, Trampoline Gymnastics, tons of fun!
  15. though i just realized that sochi doesnt have any official full events uploaded either, only london or vancouver, so i guess it's not going to happen
  16. i wonder when all the full event videos from london were uploaded, i remember around sochi time they were already there, so maybe few more months? i had a lot of fun going back watching event by event from london between sochi and rio. I did manage to save a very large amount of videos in 4k (about 5 tb) but still missed some
  17. oh yea i played every game since barcelona 92, it was always a lot of fun though mostly button mashing, it makes me sad there are almost no proper games with olympic sports, i basically just found handball game that i didnt really like
  18. man i wish there would be a proper game but it's a start...... since sega australia closed down we got nothing, not to mention no rio game on ps4 it's a start and hopefully that means a proper tokyo game to take advantage of the current gen of consoles yes i wish there was sledding, skating, jumping but i think it's better then nothing
  19. If any of you are like me, you were very dissapointed that Sochi or Rio didnt get a proper video game, so Pyongchang 2018 is finally different! Ubisoft announced in their E3 press conference that their game Steep is getting a pyongchang expansion!!! the trailer showed the following events : Downhill Snowboard Cross Slopestyle Ski Cross Halfpipe PGS GS Super G Slalom Big Air Ski Halfpipe while it's not a huge list, it's better then nothing which we got in 14 and 16 i'm super excited!! December 5th, if someone here is a ps4 gamer, come join me!

  21. Ok when did we turn into a big name in biathlon?? LOL
  22. That's why probably Simone Biles said she's taking a year off.... although she might still go to Montreal.... hopefully!
  23. Now that Rio is Over ( :'( ) i'm looking into going to the Gymnastics world championships in Montreal next year. However i see that there is no team competition, only All Around and event Finals, and i also see that every world championship after olympic don't have team competition, any reason for that?
  24. Ok Let's go sport by sport and summarize the games for USA Archery - Another silver in the Team Event, and finally Brady Ellison with good performance and a Bronze, after the London Failure Athletics - 32 Medals, 13 Golds. Surprising Performances from Galen Rupp, Matt Centrowitz, Clayton Murphy, Paul Chelimo, Ryan Crouser, Michelle Carter, 1-2 in Women's Long Jump, Men's Triple Jump, 1-2-3 in 100m Hurdles even without the WR holder Kendra Harrison, Even close for Few More golds with a barely miss by Sandi Morris, Chaunte Lowe and off course Allyson Felix. Badminton - Performed as expected i guess Basketball - as expected as well, 2 golds Boxing - Gold for Clarissa Shields, Silver for Shakur Stevenson and Bronze for Nico Hernandez, and probably performance equal to expectations Canoeing - Nowhere close in sprint, Finals in Slalom without real chance to medal, as expected Cycling - Gold and Silver in BMX, gold for Kirstin Armstrong in time trial, Mara Abbott close to medal in the road race but ran out of steam close to the finish line, and on the track silver for sarah hammer and the girls of the team pursuit. Again pretty close to expectations, i didnt think hammer could beat trott in the omnium. Diving - 2 Silvers and one bronze, David Boudia could've had a better last jump that would've given him a silver, and i hoped for few more medals from maybe Jessica Paratto or Kirstain Ipset Equestrian - 1 silver and 2 bronze, not really sure if could've won more medals, didnt really follow the competition Fencing - 2 Silvers and 2 Bronze - Definitely Massialas could've won gold, Homer was more of a surprise, also the teams that won bronze disappointed a little bit because i feel like they could've contended for gold Football - Big Disappointment with the loss in the quarters and the loss of what should've been an easy gold Golf - one medal for Matt Kucher Gymnastics - Another disappointment from the USA Men in the Team Event, but Leyva with 2 silvers and Naddour with the Bronze. On the flip side amazing performance from USA women, Simone Biles and Ally Raisman in the AA, and the vault and floor for biles, however bad beam routine from biles brings her only the bronze and Maddison Kocian winning the silver on the bronze. Overall Not bad performance with 12 Medals and 4 Golds Judo - Gold for Kayla Harrison, Silver for Travis Stevens pretty much to be expected. Need to develop the sport more because the potential is there but with Kayla going after Ronda to UFC it leaves a big void Rowing - Gold for Women's Eigth's, and Silver for Women's single sculls Rugby - Pretty Disappointing loss for the men against argentina that prevented going through to the second round, and the women did get to the quarters but couldn't beat New Zealand Swimming - 16 Golds, 33 Total , Dominating performance with Michael Phelps, Katie Ledecky, and Surprises by Ryan Murphy, Maya Di Rado, Lilly King, Simone Manuel Sailing - one bronze in the Men's Finn, one more medal that i thought we would get here. Shooting - Surprising Gold in the first day for Virginia Thrasher, but only bronze for Kim Rhode, and Corey Cogdell, and Vincent Hancock or Matt Emmons didnt even make it to the final Table Tennis - As Expected Taekwondo - one bronze, close to expectations tennis - Serena and the williams sisters lost early, Madison Keys got to semis but couldn't win the bronze, Steve Johnson and Jack Sock did win bronze in Men's Doubles and in Mixed Doubles all american final brought gold and silver and in the end 3 medals, one of each color Triathlon - Gold to Gwen Jorgensen, maybe expected but so much could've gone wrong Weightlifting - Assumed there wont be any medal but Sarah Robles definitely surprised and won a bronze! Volleyball - 3 bronze medals, and had a lot of potential for more, In the indoor side the women were top ranked and with brazil losing in the quarters i hoped for a gold, on the men side horrible start with losses to canada and italy, but great wins against brazil and france and then poland in the quarters gave hope, also leading 2-1 and 22-19 against italy gave hope, but loss and another bronze. On the beach side walsh/ross lost in the semis to agatha/barbara, dallhouser/lucena lost to the gold medalists in the quarters and gibb/paterson disappointed in the first round. Water Polo - Women with another gold, but men couldn't even get out of the first round, but i honestly didnt think they would, didnt really show much in a while Wrestling - Bad performance for Jordan Burroughs but 2 golds for Helen Maroulis and Kyle Snyder made up for it After everything, 121 medals and 46 golds, amazing overall performance, let's see what tokyo will bring
